I have a Mini Pro and thought the slipper was lose, because I could hear clicking when under stress. Turns out to be the diff and the ring and pinion jumping teeth. Is there an easy way to adjust? Can I space the pinion out or the ring gear? I have checked my spare washer slection and not finding anything that works yet.
Any ideas or experience would be appreciated.

if its jumping teeth I think you need to shim ring gear in, Buy some shims and put behind ring gear teeth side bearing hope this helps

Yes, you can space the ring gear up. all you need to do is open the axle, unscrew the screw that holds the ring gear on the shaft, then just get your shims installed and thats it..

I believe i needed about 3 Traxxas fiber washers for a good mesh.

read my post on my bwd mini wedge build. 1/4" brake line internally can push the diff/ring gear over where it needs it on the pinion.

if yours clicks like mine does, its not the axles, but the middle gear in the trans about to give up...

Thanks everyone for the help.
I tried a thin washer under the pinion, a little better. Now have a washer between the bearing and ring housing (on ring side), had to grind washer till it fit. That seems to be working for now.
I can see that the shim between ring gear and housing is the correct way... anyone have a Traxxas part number???? From just the little use with miss adjusted gears has caused a lot of wear and don't see them lasting long. Is there after market gears that might be harder?
