RIP Ryan Dunn

i wouldnt consider biting into a piece of rotten fruit and its minimal alcohol content as the same thing but its true fermentation is a natural proccess
and yes some plant lines have been manipulated to produce desired traits..generally done through breeding and not chemical manipulation
You say "tomato", I say "potato"....

Either way, this argument is neither here nor there. The end result is from an irresponsible user. There are plenty of people who use both of the products that we have been discussing in a responsible manner and cause NO negative impact on those around them. It is the folks that abuse these substances that create problems.....

This sounds like a good thread-ender post for any of these threads that get off topic and turn into "tomato" vs. "potato" debate."thumbsup":ror:

pot does not need manipulation at all and will do fine on its own in nature

I said "consumption", not "growth". Damn illiterate Canadans.

You would think so, but it aint' gonna happen.

well you simply let it dry in the air to make it ready for consumption:shock:, anyway we all understand and have our points of view
again about ryan dunn...you killed yourself and a friend..i feel bad for his family and his buddys family..ryan played russian roullette and lost for him and a pal

So then what, pull it off the stalk and chew on it?
you could absolutly do that"thumbsup" might be a bit hard on the tummy ..we arent talking about delivery systems here but ya to use it the way its used geerally you apply heat to it..i,m talking about what it takes for the product to exist..i will give that at some point there is manipulation by some definition

Coal exists naturally, but you don't see it dispensing heat and fire all willy-nilly, now do you?

Point being, you have to do something to the items in question to ingest or consume them. Yes they occur naturally, but neither weed or alcohol is found wrapped in tight little rolls or contained in naturally occurring glass bottles laying about on the ground. A human has to process them in some small amount before they are actually put to use.

All we need is Dezfan to post some political bullshit to finish this thread off.

:flipoff:

bad example ;-)just to be irratating coal burns in underground seams and its caused by lightning or spontaneously will combust and can go/burn/smoulder for years without human involvment..but i hear what your saying and jeremy is right...if eithert are overused/abused there are or can be serious conserquences

I don't think that is the point he was trying to make. Though, I wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying anyway, so it could have been...

no shit, you guys are acting as if you have never broken any laws, or haven't been out having fun with buddies taking risks.

if you can tell me you have never been double the speed limit i will call you a puss. i can remember riding my tuned TL1000 out on rt. 25 at speeds triple the speed limit... i am that idiot.
luck was on my side and my card wasn't on the table.

some people push pens, some people push limits. i myself was always an adrenaline junkie and lived a scab and scar lifestyle.

it's all fate and when your number pops poof your gone. it just sucks that some people get to go die in wars and some people die on the toilet. some people tempt that fate more often than others, and some add potency to the danger with the participation of extra curricular activities.

at least he was living the all american dream and pushing the envelope that men have been pushing for years.
man vs. machine.
raw horse power vs alter egos and wishful thinking.

alcoholism is a disease just like any other. it can affect your judgment and can consume your lifestyle. you go ahead and shove the amount of money and spare time as dunn had into your agenda and see what habits you form.

dunn wasn't born a trust fund baby, and his mommy and daddy didn't have shit-loads of cash to get his ass of the ground. he only started making that money ten years ago or so.

he's gone. died from a deadly combination and a stupid mistake. ok enough said, have some respect for others that can at least see both sides of the coin.

my heart goes out to the family and friends, and also the fans. maybe this even though tragic will be the vehicle to deliver sobering thoughts to many people. there is a reason why i am counting 13 years sobriety next month, but everyone has a story.

r.i.p. ryan dunn, you shit head.

x's 2..well said..i'm pretty sure everyone has pushed the limits of something..and more than 95% of us have had a few drinks at a applebee's forsay and drove home.slightly buzzed..ya know as much as he drank a .19 % level he prob. wasnt even buzzing..but still dont make it right, either way you should still give respect and not talk sh#t..
oh btw crunky i used to have a tlr1000 and would def. triple the speed limit..what a rush..
God bless the families of dunn and the passenger,
RIP...RYAN DUNN

you should still give respect and not talk sh#t.

Respect a drunk who murdered his friend and who could have very well killed several other innocent people? No.

Just because he was a star and "pushed the limits" (of what, drunk driving? that's a role model for you...) doesn't excuse him from bad behavior or the consequences thereof, which includes people calling him an idiot. Which he was. Drinking and driving while grossly exceeding speed limits are not activities of non-idiots.

I will guarantee you that if he were stone sober, driving responsibly, and was killed because a drunk driver had a head on collision with him, you knuckleheads would be wishing eternal damnation upon those that chose to drink and drive. :flipoff:

Jeremy youre reaching pretty far on the consumption bit. You have to chew an apple to eat it, that has nothing do do with how its created.

The manner in which cannabis is produced is no different than any other natural thing is created, from the earth. The pot vs alchy debate is stupid because technically fermentation is a natural occuring phenomenon. Although most people nowadays arent chomping down on a half rotted piece of fruit/vegitable, one can see how the argument could round & round & round &....

A better comparison would be the poo burgers vs pot. They are most certainly not natural.

And for the whiners about my last "anti-pot" post, I was being sarcaaaastic.

na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, gooooood bye!

Guy was a moron and like said thank God he didn't kill anyone else. Acting like a dumbass on TV doesn't make you special, it makes you a dumbass. Nothing he did is any different than the thousands of morons who do the same stupid crap every day yet don't have their own TV show. He exhibited no talent what so ever to do what he did and his little friend bam bam is just as stupid. Cry all you want but when you act like they did it's bound to catch up with you. I am sure had they been drunk driving like that in your neighborhood near your family the tune would be slightly different. If you play in the lion's den you can't get all teary eyed because you got bit.

Even beginning to compare this guy to any soldier is sickening. A moron does not a hero make.
