Rock Crawling lawnmower?

Rock crawling lawnmower!!

 Yes, that title got your attention, i am tryin to build a 1980 John Deere 111 that was converted to 4wd and i need to come up with a 4 link or a set of really soft leaf springs to throw under it- does ne one know of any leaf springs that are rated at 300 lbs or less?;-)

Hi I registered just to reply to your blog post thing. I am glad I finally found someone who is building something just like I am!:) A rock crawling lawn mower! I am going to use front four wheeler shocks :idea:but if you want leaf springs then i highly suggest golf cart leaf springs. They are rated around that weight and if it is too hard then take one leaf out; too soft then ad one. Hope this helps. Please keep in touch because it is very interesting talking to someone else who has similar interests. I was sure no one else was building something like this until now. Message back about your progress.:-P

This could be you!

Yah i thought of that but most of them dont have leaf springs, i cant ever find one with them

Are you using truck axles? I am going to use four wheeler diffs and weld housing on the sides of them with bearings and an axle inside. Please keep in touch for i am building something very similar
