Rock Rey kit

Good find!

They just need upgraded diffs to really live up to the 'this kit is ready to tackle the best head on' marketing spiel BS. Oh and parts support...that would be useful for many owners...lol

That's weird , it's got a aluminium truss aswell which would normally be an upgrade and Losi I thought were specifically a rtr company

Big Squid has it up on their board now. I dig all the hop ups they packaged with the kit. Aluminum where it counts and an LED light bar? Makes for a tempting offer.

Just need to add the SSD HD grey aluminum parts and it's perfect ;)

Grey cage? And there aluminum hop ups, no thanks. Only good thing about this kit is you can put way better electronics in.

I was really hoping they would have released/included an aluminum center housing. Boo.

I don't like the grey cage either, but what's wrong with the aluminum upgrades?

No shock upgrade? I was at least hoping for some aluminum bodied shocks or a different compound of tire. Not that it matters the tires were the second thing that was replaced right after the servo arm. Most people that run them hard have the essential upgrades by now. Though I do kind of like the grey cage, once I kill another front shock tower, I will try and get one in grey.

I watched the video on the page earlier and they were mentioning that they were including a locker for the centre and it showed the locker and diff cup un assembled but the locker shown was the rear one with a square receiver ??? Bit strange hey and Iv just gone to share it and it's not available now [emoji848]

Where did you see this?

Hi all,
There was a bit of a mix up with the release. Some of those that saw the early release will know that we had to change a couple things...this was an internal miscommunication so I'll address it here.

The kit does not include a center diff locker.

The actual option parts included are:
- Adjustable Camber and Steering links
- Rear Upper links
- Rear Upper Track Rod mount (on the axle housing)
- Grey Cage work

We did improve the servo arm with the metal inserts we use on our 1/8th scale buggies so this should be a big improvement over the original servo arm. This will also be an eventual running change for all Baja Rey and Rock Rey RTR's. I don't have a specific date as to when you'll see them on the shelf with this update but it will happen.

I know we can't please everyone but from my end i'm glad we were allowed to produce a kit version for the hobbyists who want one. If this kit does well, it will make it easier to get a Baja Rey kit approved for the future.

We're always looking to improve our products so good or bad, I appreciate the feedback.

Thanks,
Rich

That's great news about the baja rey possible kit release and thank you for the explanation ,
On a side note ,..It seems your the guy calling the shots so to speak , what's the possibility of an evolution of this platform ? Upgraded helical transmission and maybe even a first and second gear transmission ,
I think this would make a very nice add [emoji106]

To me the gray cage was a good choice. While it doesn't quit look like a Raw cage, the fact that you can dye it any color you want makes it a positive IMO.

Edit: Tried the multiquote thing to capture Yoda as well but no worky.

I had no interest in the Rock Rey until you released this kit. Now I want one.

Thank you for giving us a kit!

Rich, will we see an aluminum center diff housing? And possibly different gears for it? 3500kv/3s/10t pinion is crazy fast, lol. Would be nice to gear it lower. Thanks.
