Sweat Tommy, that Willys is fun to watch and drive!:flipoff:

Yeah you right! Did a bunch of maintenance to the Yota last night to get it ready. Finishing touches will be tonight to make it waterproof. The Willys won't be waterproofed 'til after I finish building it. 8)

I have a ton to do tonight. Have a feeling it going to be late night for me.

Awesome event Cory! What a great spot and great giveaways. Thank you for the lunch and as with all the Rock the Lake's, a great boat ride

Looks like you had fun. That waterfall is amazing. I didn't know we had anything like that here in TX.

I have just finished all the tube work on my rig and should be joining you guys on the next comp. Speaking of which, when and where is the next comp? I couldn't find it on the TXRCRCA site.

Damn, if only that were on that saturday....

It was supposed to be on a Saturday, but was changed to Sunday to accommodate the club leader for that area. However, he didnt show up to the first SA comp and I dont think he will show for this one either. I think we can change the date back to that Saturday. I recall at our last comp that a couple new SA guys would be happy to host it. Let me post up on the local site to be sure though"thumbsup"

Very cool. Let me know.

BTW, how is that comp spot? I've been to the Cibolo Creek spot with scalers before and it was a pretty good spot for them. Even my dad had a good time.

Also, what time do you guys usually get started in the morning? (trying to figure out when I'd need to leave Houston)

And finally, (sorry for the stupidity here) I dont know much about the different scaler classes, but what class would this rig fit into:

?

Jeremy, that looks like a Class 2 rig to me, but if those tires are cut/shut, it would be Class 3. You can groove/sipe all you want in C2, but you can't build custom sizes. However, if you don't have a legal set of C2 tires, it may be cool with everyone to run what you've got. We're a pretty laid back crew most of the time. :)

Well, the tires are narrowed, but the ID is still 2.2....they are only mounted on 1.9 beadlocks. Still class 3?

Technically, yes. Here's an excerpt from the rules:
Class-1 Street. No external tire modification is allowed.
Class-2 Trail. Tire lugs may be removed, siped, grooved and/or trimmed.
Class-3 Modified. Tire reduction and narrowing is permitted, as well as all modifications listed above.

But locally, no one may care and definitely don't let it prevent you from showing up! Also, for C2, they need to be no taller than 4.75". If I were going, I'd offer to let you use my Pit Bulls so you'd be 100% legal, but unfortunately I can't make this one.

Oh, I wouldnt let it prevent me from running the truck. "thumbsup" It really doesnt matter to me what class I run in.....if I can work it out to make the event, it will be for pure fun.

Yeah, I've got some 1.9 PBs as well, but they just dont look right on that truck....the mashers look good (IMO) and actually perform quite well..
