OK, I got a call from James (finishliine) from team lerk out of modesto. Great guys, been to a few of their comps but can't do tomorrow with Recon G6 BD bash in Reno today. He said I could put the word out to see what happens. They are planning a "club" vs "club" comp and are thinking of holding it in Folsom, probably Dotton's Point. They know our area 916 rc scalers just started. They are hoping for about 8-10 members per club to compete. I told him I don't think I'll have that many members by February so they are working out the details. It will be based off of their rules http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/competitions/335173-rock-hard-1-9-scaler-series-info.html which is based off MSD rules SORRCA.com minus the scale points. There will be a required list of I think 3 items, spare tire, tow strap and I can't remember the third item. This is a club vs club so you guys can take it from there.

I also mentioned it to Wes (sloyota) today and he'll bring it up with the Santa Rosa or JPH crew "thumbsup" They may be able to bring 8-10 for a large scale comp.

This will be braging rights around these parts "thumbsup"

Thanks for starting to get the word out Martin if anyone has any questions just pm me. Working out the details now so i'll post up when I get it done.

BRAGGING RIGHTS IS RIGHT!!!!!

Nice! what I need to know is vehicle/class type. C1 C2 C3 so we can see what we need to modify. Let's not make it too close to msd and find out last second that what we thought was C2 is now C3 etc. Love my new bug but guess the jk might fit better.

Not really looking to run a specific class but rigs must have 1.9 wheels and tires with no dig or queer steer. So if you have a C1 rig with 1.55 or a C3 rigg with 2.2's on it all you have to do is get 1.9's on it and your good to go. I dont want to handcuff anyone from not being abel to run because there rigs dont fall into specs for a certain class. If things go well and we have a good turnout we just may running full classes next year.

Well this sound like alot of fun!
I'll make sure my Jeep is ready to go... I think it'd be pretty cool to get three different clubs together for a huge comp!
And Dotton's point would be a prime location for something like this.

Looking forward to 2012 and all the crawlin that goes along with it!!!!

I may be from the 209 and live in the 209 but my scaler days started with you 916'ers... So it's likely that I'll stick with y'all!
That is of course if you'll allow me... Lol

You guys from the 916 have always welcomed me with open arms and I truly appreciate that! Ive made some new friends along the way and that's what I enjoy most about this hobby!

::thinkin out loud::.... Too bad Gordy got out of the scaler scene!

Trader??? I think not sir... I originally started out with the boys from Sacramento. Gordy and Martin really got me excited about scalers so nothing personal, but I will likely stick with the crew I started with lol.

Id still like to make it to a few of the LERK comps this season. I just gotta find a way to get out on the 1st Sunday of the month. Wifey works the first weekend of the month so babysitters will need to be found before i can make it out.

I know, i was just kiding around with ya but your statement is exactly why i wanted to do this comp. We all go to comps and its all about an individual. It will be cool to come together with the guys you spend so much time with on the weekends to represent your crew and comp for bragging rights as a team."thumbsup"

I completely agree and I'm really looking forward to it!
Living kinda in between LERK HQ and Sac Scaler HQ makes it difficult to choose a side lol.
All I know for sure is I LOVE THIS HOBBY and really have enjoyed my time with all that I've met along the way, both LERK and 916 guys.... This should be a BLAST!!!
