San Diego RC Crawlers

Good little practice session today, gives ya a good feel of a comp when someones standin there with a clipboard. Worked on some great new lines and broke some parts."thumbsup"

Yes it was quite enjoyeble today....I get nervous under the judges eye so it was great to practice that situation for me..
I really liked making the first two gates on course #3 being judged.. and the first attempt...then not being able to do it again..

My rig took quite a fall after the comp. exploring some death defying ledge lines and broke the 1/4" zip tie holding the battery and put a little dent in my lipo pack.... It just took a full charge and didn't blow up..I have a problem with the front suspension, I will have to see what is going on with that.

raul duke post the results of the practice comp today..

Thanks for the stickers....need to paint a new comp body now..

Couldn't make it got tied up.
I was hoping to smash my new body up some. :-(
Oh well spending the day bombing out another body,
and trimming up the other one.
My beater body:

I still have to put stickers on it and cut it up.

Save room for a San Diego RC Crawlerz sticker. So you want the scores from yesterday. Well good news is everybody was in the top three (not hard being there was only three of us to start). So good job."thumbsup"

Driver #1- #2- #3- Overall

Brockgrimes The sticker size is six inches overall length.. The words from S to Z is 4.5 inches 113 mm. vertically 1/2 inch..Also what is that body? the proline bishwacker?

Then your gettin rained on.;-) How long are ya down for? Some great places to crawl round here.

In the crash on saturday, My rig fell off from just over myhead to just below my feet, In one fell swoop and dented the battery against the shock ( you could see the spring coils dented into the battery ) I didn't know untill yesterday the shock wouldn't cycle, I looked at it and found the shock body dented in restricting the piston from moving. Must have fallen onto a rock, directly on the shock from 10 feet..."thumbsup"

The battery is ok tested it yesterday several times in the T4.
and i have a spare shock on hand..Now just have hope the rain stops.

I'm down untill wednesday then im going home. And it was raining so hard yesterday. We went through a 6 inch puddle in the rental car. And i came from a 70 degree, sun is out place to a 50 degree, pouring rain and totally cloudy place. We went on the midway aircraft carrier yesterday and it is pretty cool. Anyone who is coming down here should do it. And i can't go crawling no matter how much i want since i didn't bring my crawler and we're really bust trying to go to places before we go home.

Today is what San Diego is normally like it never rains like that. Hope the rest of your visit is a good one. Next time bring a rig there are a lot of good places down here.

Don't care as long as they continue to sell parts for it. I have heard from rockpiledriver over at RCP that they will. I have three I am ok for awhile. It's about time you built a 2.2 rig.

I am crawlin tomorrow at felicta 11:30 or 12:00 if anybodys around. Try to squeeze some crawlin in before the next rain. I am headin to Long Beach this weekend so can't make saturday or sunday.

ahhh the the force is with you brock. I am glad to see you bought two. that is how I when i bought my first two. now you will have to charge two times as much and work two times as hard. well it it all good. glad to see you got into 2.2.

Hey, i got back from San Diego. I got a question though. Why are there so many Jeeps down there??? I saw more Jeeps than any other car or truck. I don't see why people have them in a city. I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains and i don't see that many. They aren't good for citys i thought. It is just really weird.
