Sand Scorcher Crawler - Another Bug

Testing. Here's the first rough coat.

A bit more progress. Got some primer on the body. Waiting for it to warm up so I can paint. Version 6 of the mirror bracket seems to be workable so I'll whip up some PTEG ones when I get a part for my 3D printer tomorrow.

Looking good!

Up until you said primer I thought that was the final color which I like, but I suppose it doesn't really suit the vibrant look of the wheels and tires so much.

I actually have a colour of paint very similar to the primer but didn't like how it looked on the wheels. If I'd left the wheels black this would've looked OK. I also thought of pure rust. We'll see how it goes after it gets beat up a bit. But for now it's going to be black.

Looking good! Did you make the stickers?
Flat four, it really seems more round-ish to me.

Pardon my poor humor :badger:

Bahaha! Sorry, couldn’t help myself. And yeah, I made the stickers. About 5 minutes in Adobe Illustrator and five minutes to cut them out on my wife’s Silhouette Cameo cutter. I made the one below last week. It’s on a cabinet door in my shop.

Hub cap looks spot on. Great job!

Thanks guys. Robbark, I suppose you could put the motor in the rear, you'd need your battery in the front to balance it out somewhat.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Cheers for your help!!
