Savox Black Edition Servo, Brushless, 694oz

I'm a scale nerd... and I hate mud and water.

I like waterproof though just in case, makes for easier clean up

More pictures tomorrow.

Looks like Protek has a new servo with similar ratings that Harley is testing and seems to like.

I was looking hard at that servo too but seeing all the reviews of its gear train failures made me shy away. I've had good luck with higher end savox, it's the lower end that I've cooked repeatedly so I figure I'll roll the dice.

Where did you see these reviews? A simple google search only pulls up Harley's info when searching "Protek 370tbl"

Crap, you're right. I saw 600 oz and protek which sent my brain to the 170t I've read reviews on. Unless the gears are steel I'd have some doubts on how long they live considering the other gear failures on their high torque line. But I could certainly be completely wrong too. It's happened before.

WT is talking about the 170T. There is lots of broken stuff from that servo, but this one Harley has looks to be a new servo in there line up.

Yep, in his latest live stream he put it in the SCX10II and talked about beating up on the new servo in his Bomber with no problems. Steel gear was noted.

Wow Harley has finally stopped drinking the futaba kool-aid. Didn't see that coming, next thing he's going to be using a flysky radio.

:lmao:

Steel gears eh? Might be worth a look when they come out since I'm building another crawler.

ProTek has spotty reliability with their products. I'd trust a Savox servo over a ProTek.
