Got some scale stuff still to work on but she's rollin'. Love the worminator axles!

Nice video mate, toyota looks very cool, do you have a build thread on it.

Thanks!

I don't have a build thread, but if you pause the beginning of this video you can kind of see what I have put together. It's all RC4WD parts and it actually went together pretty easily. My goal was to build something that crawls super slow and had better ground clearance than the Trail Finder. The r2 trans and worminator axles make that all happen so well.

I'm running a 20T pinion gear in the R2 trans and the worminator gear ratio is 25:1 ... so the final gear ratio is about 300:1 ... that's crazy slow as you can see. Down the road, I plan to swap in the trans out of a Losi Comp Crawler or SCX10 and try to get a little more wheel speed.

Love it, I've been very tempted by the TF2 since it came out but put off by the hilux body, that Land Cruiser body is what RC4WD should have put on it, I know there are two types of body like that, who makes the one you have, I'm off to ebay to see if I can find one."thumbsup"

The one I got looks like this one (see link below) so I must have the "Discovery Communications" version. I think there was another from Radio Shack.

I would like to see some pics of the front axle and steering set up.. Really enjoy how slow it is to be honest, just seems real to me. :/

Thanks. I agree. Spinning wheels out of control and bouncing the vehicle all over like a jackrabbit is how stuff breaks. Seen it too many times rock crawlin' my 1:1 Jeep.

I would like to see some pics of the front axle and steering set up..

Here ya go.
