Scale Top Truck Challenge?

we are going to need alot of people taken video... heck, we could even do a vote in next time and invite from across the land.... this could be huge!!!

or we could be greedy bastards and keep the coolness to ourselves!

man!!!! i need to get building!!!! How scale are we talkin? got any guidelines? or should we just follow that of the 08 Scale series rules for the 2.2' class?

I'm not going to get real strict with rules and "scaleness", just limited to 2.2 tires and wheels. If guys want to stretch their 2.2 comp rigs, waterproof them, and compete, have at it. I will say winching will be mandatory at some points, with time penalties. If you don't have a winch, you can take a tug from a fellow competitor and be penalized the same as winching, probably 1 minute for everytime you need to use it.

Frame Twister
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gCGxGpnb7U

Hell yeah, that is my buddy Brent Burton from Colstrip Montana on the frame twister."thumbsup" That TJ is so sick, I have been on a few trail rides with him, that thing is fun to watch. Just about unstoppable, he won TTC that year, I do believe."thumbsup"

You should see his flat fendered, 4 linked, willys on 42" crawlers:shock::shock::shock::shock:

Montana, representin' !"thumbsup"

Great idea on the TTC, this looks like a TON of fun.8)

That rig is sweet, I'm thinking a scale replica would be cool. ;)

I think I might have to fly out to CO to show you guys how it's done. :flipoff:

Bring it!! "thumbsup"

what are the odds we could get a race? where everyone get out on a track and runs with transponders and all. if that could arrainged then i would DEFF be in. i imagin it would be similar to the 1:1 local (fair ground) tough truck races.

How's that coming anyway? I saw a good start going under the workbench at the Zach build but nothing new...

Too much time in the RCC halfpipe?:flipoff: I wouldn't get sh!t done with that thing downstairs either! Not unless I broke the Micro.

The Route 72 comp spot would probably be the best location. The area is fairly quiet during the winter/early spring.

where the heck is that at? been lookin through the crawling atlas and my old pics.. this location does not ring a bell. could you point me in the right direction and or add it to the atlas?

I'll see if I can find the google map I made, and post it up in the atlas.

And then?

We'll probably do this event later on down the road. Maybe after the WS and scale comp series are done. Jason and I were talking about making it another camping weekend at Buffalo Creek by you. Then everyone could help pitch in with making the obstacles and bringing water to make the tank traps and water holes.

That also gives everyone plenty of time to prep/build their rigs. "thumbsup"

We can go down to the river just down the road for tons of crazy shit down there. Maybe wait a bit after spring runoff. I have been crawling a bit down there, some insane climbs too.

Sounds good. That's what I was thinking as far as a time frame goes. Spring is the only time we have mud here. Plus it will be a lot warmer by then.

Hows the camping out there and what month are you guys thinking? I usually go to Durango every summer around June when the kids get out of school, but what's another 6 or 7 hour drive.

There's a huge camping spot where some of the best rocks are, right where we are planning to hold this event. It's in the mountains, but it's not at 10,000 feet or anything like that, so the weather should be good by June for sure. As soon as I can figure out a weekend that works, I'll announce the dates. I'm guessing late spring early summer. "thumbsup"
