Firstly if this is in the wrong area, mods feel free to move it.

Some of you may or may not be on facebook crawler groups, but there has been a little jerk on there scamming people (obviously myself included) using fake names and using pictures of crawlers from legitimate eBay ads and trying to sell them as his own.
This person has been caught using 2 different fake names now scamming people. The account that was used to rip me has since been deleted. It all happened on the Axial buy/sell FB page.

Before anyone says anything, I have bought plenty of stuff through both forums like this, and facebook buy/swap/sell pages without incident.

I know im not the only one who has been caught out by this twat, I contacted the original owner of the car whose photos were used and he confirmed that he has had plenty of angry people contact him regarding this, and he has already been contacted by paypal and ebay and is in the clear.

If anyone has any info on the person that uses the email address norcalcrawler@gmail.com id be extremely grateful and hopefully can find this f..ktard and stop anyone else getting ripped off.

Any suggestions feel free to post.

I did use paypal and have put in a dispute and waiting to hear back.

Cheers Steve.

Dammit! Hate people like this, I hope he gets what he deserves! Good luck man, I hope you get your money back

I put his email in google and his YouTube videos popped up

That video page looks like it belongs to a member of the local track here in the Bay Area and I don't believe they have anything thing to do with this scam. Just throwing this out there as we all know how things can spread like fire on the internet when we jump to conclusions.

Sadly there are scammers in any hobby that you can name. Just recently a LED lighting company in the 1:1 offroad industry got called out. He was "selling" product to customers (and making thousands upon thousands a month) but giving the sold products to his friends for free. When the customers did get their product (which some never did at all) they were either not what they ordered, or broken. Turns out the kid was still living at home with his mom, but had earned enough not only to mildly build a Ford Ranger, but to build a full blown sand rail

lotsa that crap goes on in FB land...

why I only deal with people I know on there.

and do most of buying/trading on here.

I just saw someone post the other day. They traded with a guy and he actually got a big box of rocks in return. Not kidding, they posted pics of the box filled with rocks and news paper. Apparently this scammer got 6 or 7 ppl in 2 weeks.
