SCRCC 2012 Competition Series Discussion

thats cool with me ryan if the club desides not to do fees thats fine.. if everyone thinks is a prob thats cool aswell.. i understand that it is a long ride to get to most comps im the furthest away from any comp upstate. 4 to a 4:30 hr drive or ride if i ride with u and so far if i have ive gave u 15 to 20 for gas so i understand theres another 5 more bucks.. nuff said. it does not matter to me what the club desides on as of fee's

I just wanted to let you guys know I think you guys have done a good job. The only thing I didn't like in the past was the first few comps where everyone just stood around at one course(it took way too long). Since everyone was grouped up things run smooth and I look forward to competing in many more.

Couple things that you guys may want to think about in scheduling........

- December is horrible month due to the holidays. We typically skip it because it is tough from a weather and holiday standpoint.
- Jan and Feb are typically tough months due to weather as well. With you guys trying to draw in some from other states, having a solid backup plan that is organized a head of time will be key so that you don't leave those travelling from GA and NC 3 hours into a trip for a comp you may have to call off at the last minute.

You may want to set a plan like we do where you have a set rain date for the comp if cold/snow/rain forces you to postpone and try to call it the night before if possible to help the people travelling the furthest distances.

Thanks Todd. I take it scaling has stolen your attention?

the scaler attraction never goes away. i have just got bored with the comp rigs and its showed at the past couple of comps.

i would also like to suggest not counting the scores of any driver who already has a spot for nationals.

-if someone happens to pick up a national spot thru the year or comes in with a national spot they should not recieve points toward the series.
-allow that driver to run all courses including finals but allow 5 drivers without spots to run finals as well.

the NC guys did this toward the end of thier season to get more guys from the club into the "BIG SHOW". i am not sure if any clubs do it that way but it seems only fair to me.

if you keep it fair and fun, people will come. "thumbsup"

That is the way we did it last year due to there only being one offical club in the NC/SC region.......however, since now both clubs' drivers will be competing to earn spots to compete in the "Top 10" for NC/SC state run off, I don't think either club will be able to do that this year. Every driver that shows for NC at every comp will have their points tallied in the series, whether they are from SC, NC, VA, GA or wherever since the series only decides who gets to go to the state crawl off.......a driver from the NC series that wants to make it to the state crawl off will have to earn the right to compete in the "Carolinas Top Ten"

It will all be a little bit of a learning experience for NC/SC as we figure out how to work together for 2012.

Looking forward to competing with you guys!

i will have to agree with todd if someone comes in threw the year and get a spot for nationals they should not be in the top 5 running for neather state. say for ex. if Josh wins ecc that will give him a spot in nationals. he should not and really dont need to run in the point series for a nationals bid. when the states do a top 5 run off there is no need for him to compete for a nationals spot he already has one.

That is up to each and every driver and Ryan and Josh to decide. I do not believe we will be able to run that way this year because of the required crawl off between the states. If the driver chooses not to show up that is a different story but the way the other states I have talked to do it, if you show....you count.

If you are SCARED to count the guys that may EARN spots at big events.............so be it....:)

Either way, if you want the spot you should have to EARN it......or have the balls to compete in LCQ. Josh did last year and did just fine........

There is still time......anyone have the stones to compete in VEGAS this year with us?

Stones yes...cash and time...no. More so the time.

Good to hear Ryan, I was hoping some of you guys would make the trip this year but I can understand both those reasons.......

You should really think seriously about the 24hr comp in Indianapolis Halloween weekend. Josh and I are planning to go and it is a hell of a good time..........unlike any other experience comping you will ever have.

:lmao: and just like that my motivation to compete makes a triumphant return. :flipoff:

STONES? yes CASH? no....but plastic isnt out of the question. in fact someone may have bought a LCQ ticket from the classified this morning...maybe not. guess we will have to wait and see. "thumbsup"

now as for the can it be ran with drivers who have national spots already not counting? yes it can and it should be. will it be is the question. that will be up to josh and ryan.

but why wouldnt someone want to see thier fellow crawlers who dont have spots have a chance to go to nationals?...........

Glad I could help with some motivation Todd........that is what I am here for.

If you did buy a spot, you can save some $$ by bunking with us if you want.....

The spots will get used by the top 2 drivers from crawl off.......I absolutely want to see that happen. Unlike last year, people with spots running the series does not directly affect that......that is why I was in favor of counting everyone.....:ror:

I want the highest level of competition available so the 2 state qualifying drivers that go to nats next year can stand tall that they earned the spot......

haha... like that would work. :lmao:thanks for the offer tho.

sorry but i enjoy VEGAS too much to go out there for nationals. it would put a dark cloud over my favorite vacation spot being out there dealing with all the comp drama.

i have no problem with people earning thier way but if you have a spot then help someone else make it to nationals by not including your scores. unless you are just wanting the title of state crawl off champ there is no reason not to. in fact, if i manage to get a spot before the end of the season, please feel free to drop my score or i just wont compete to give another person the chance to go.

just my opinion.....

balls? got them truck? waiting on chassy lol. reading threw the ss thread it will be a while cash? somewhere beiside my wallet lol. if i had the money for the trip i would go. no ? asked. but as of right now funds are not avaliable for that kinda trip.
