Thought that I would share my almost completed Cherokee build. Everyone has seen a SCX-10 build thread so I wanted to just post up my nearly finished rig. Few more things to wrap up.

Questions or comments welcome! On to the photos and rig details.

Still working on my foam and tire weight choices so not all the screws are in the beadlocks. I am going to add either the MThead TR01-12 or the FT04-12 Havent quite decided yet.

3R racing 1/10 scale winch with a custom bumper. Also included the Wrangler Headlight buckets. This really ties the front of the Cherokee together in my opinion. Really happy with this addition to the build.

Proline 1.9 TSL Tires are really nice and happy with them. I have been running the RC4WD Rox Lox tires on my other rigs. I do like the size of the Rox Lox but I think that these work well for this build.

Custom Sliders and rear bumper with Proline interior. I am attempting to get the Proline Floor Pan kit in but its a real PITA with my bumpers and sliders to get right. It will take some more work to get in.

Rear Tire carrier shot. I think that I am going to do the RCBros rear leaf spring mod when they come back instock.

I still need to get the lights all finished up and a few other details, but she is a runner. "thumbsup"

What tires do you like the best between the rok lox, flat irons and tsl's? I love the overall look of your jeep. The color and the bumpers and everything work together so well! A rear leaf spring kit would go a long ways towards making it a more realistic xj!

Thanks for the compliments!

I really like the TSL's tires in all conditions, but cannot stand the stock foams. I am still working on this setup. Once I get that figured out I'll be stoked. The one thing I like about the Roc Lok is the size. They also work well here in Colorado but I have found that they are not quite as grippy as the TSL's. They are also a bit big for the way that I have the Cherokee set up. Flat Irons work well and have always been a good setup on slickrock or rocky type terrain.

I will be working on a few details and will add the updates soon. "thumbsup"

I am running Crawler Innovations 1.9 dual stage foams, and I think they are just right with running metal bumpers and spare tire "thumbsup"

Rig looks good.

Thanks for the Foam tip. I have looked at them and may have to invest in a set.

Thanks!
With the custom bumpers and sliders it is a PITA! Plain and simple. I have started hacking on it and I just don't like the way it is on the body and frame. Tries to sit everything to high! I have a plan to cut it up even more and start screwing it on. We'll see how it turns out. Might work on it this week with this storm coming in. "thumbsup"

is that the Dingo cage in the Bronco? Did you have to do any mods like cut the mounting posts or anything? Its a Proline right?

sweet rig, i love the XJ's, just wish they made a 2dr (not the Comanche)..keep up the pics!

any update on the floor pan install??

I have a low body and custom bumpers/Sliders on my XJ and not sure the pan will fit ..so anytips or in fo would be great

Sorry for the delay in getting back. I have been beating my head against the wall on this part of the project. I have started to chop up the floor pan for this install. We'll see what comes out of it! Could be a waste of 26 bucks. :) I'll post up when I get it figured out.

It is the HPI Bronco body with Dingo interior. I will shoot some pictures of the setup shortly. It isnt a perfect fit, but really worked out good. It could probably be set up a bit better but it is on my 5yr olds rig so it gets beat on a bit. The rear posts are in the stock location. The fronts were removed and it is now held on by a velcro mount.

I agree the 2 door would be awesome. "thumbsup"
