Scx24 gladiator need new motor and maybe esc

Sounds to me like you might be getting your wheels in a bind and just keep pressing the trigger trying to get the Gladiator to move and this is blowing the escs & motors.
I think many people myself included have replaced the 2-in-1 with separate units. Changing out the 2-in-1 will require buying a new radio too.

Is your gearing stock? If so, it sounds like something is binding. Are your wheel nuts tightened too much? That can definitely cause too much drag and ruin electronics on micro rigs.

Hi,

Yeah it is stock gearing i am not sure if my wheel nuts I am not sure as I have been running 60mm tires from injora for 6 months and that might be another reason so me thinking I have brought it on my self.

So might start upgrading. Slowly.

Regards james

Good thought. I am not sure if the SCX24 can handle tires that large with stock gearing. Unfortunately, I know very little about the SCX24 so I won't be of much help.

My kids are still surprisingly running the original motors in their scx24s. Granted, both transmissions grind under load though. When I opened up axles for some upgrades, I noticed that both were dry.

How much dirt/water do you drive yours in?

But burning up 2 ESCs sounds like too much load, or excessive binding.
