Servo Recommendation

Of course it is. But after dealing with some other company's customer service good customer service goes a long way for me. I also own my own business so I know what it's like to try hard to give good customer service.
Funny you should mention the Mercedes thing. I bought a used Mercedes sprinter for my business that had 50,000 miles on it, and now it it's about to roll 100,000 and I've had zero problems. My friend however bought a brand-new Dodge sprinter for his business and he had so many problems with it in the first six months that he returned it under the lemon law and got his money back and went and bought a Mercedes!

I have nothing bad to say about HH, my experience with them has been great. I have not used the servos, broken center pins would be a weekend killer for me.

That is the ONLY issue I've heard of and makes me hesitate on HH servos,
I'm still new to HV/HT servos, HH no bec is such a great feature I would love

Hang up and Drive

Aren't the sprinter and Mercedes vans cousins?

Nothing Dodge on the Dodge, outside if the grill, hubcaps and steering wheel badge.

Mercedes didn't import commercial vehicles in the 2000's, Daimler owned Chrysler, so they sold them at Dodge and Freightliner dealers. Daimler sold Chrysler and switched the Dodge sprinter to Mercedes Sprinter in 2010, Frightliners are still available as well. Daimler owns too much stuff basically. Mercedes, Smart, AMG, Maybach, Freightliner, Sterling, Fuso, Detroit, Western Star, Thomas and a bunch more.

They're all the exact same van.

Isn't it better to not need customer service at all?

I'm around Mercedes all day, they're really nice and safe and have a good warranty, but they spent half their life in the shop. My wife drives a Jeep, 100k miles and not a single problem. Not one check engine light or break down, on the second set of tires.

I'll take the Jeep every day of the week.
Damn, that Jeep is a unicorn! There aren't many Jeep owners that can say they've never had a problem in 100,000 miles.

Lol
Well when I get this new servo installed I definitely won't be taking it easy on it! I'll report back after I bash on it a bit."thumbsup"

The single most common servo failure around here is a bent/broken center pin. Holmes, Hitec, Protek, Bluebird, even Savox seem to have the same failure. They all use basically the same gear layout, a stacked pair of center gears on one pin. The pin that always fails.

Holmes hv500 (can't find a single picture with the top off, so here's the gears. They're stacked like everyone else.)

Here is a couple pic of the gears on the HH SHV500. Not professional pics, but you get the idea. This just happened on my sons Bomber after doing one cartwheel down a hill and the steering froze. Took it apart and saw this. HH is really cool about it, sending out a replacement gear set at no charge. I offered to pay for it too, so "thumbsup" to their service, but like you said, it's better to not have the part fail and wonder about the service...like the old Maytag man...:lmao:

I'm wondering if these pins can be purchased separately somewhere so we have them on hand as a spare?
