Hey guys! So I am in the market for a new servo for my night crawler with the Novak goat 3s and bec, I have a budget limit of 50$ and would like to know what you guys are running to get some opinions on a good servo to throw in my rig.... thanx

i personally just got a hs-645mg. only ran in a couple of times but im pretty impressed with it, its a decent replacement over stock and super smoth, best part its only 49.99 (where im from at least)

i stripped the 645 pretty quick, a couple falls and it was done....hold out for a better servo, and watch the classifieds here, a lot of deals to be had.

Yea I'm with hem ^^^^^^^^^^^ 645mg is pos I have had 4 of them there 30$ down here the stock lnc is ok with bec at. 6vots

Fish phone

your not gonna find a good servo for under $50. now i run a tower pro mg996 in my scaler and it works ok and it's only like $20.

Right now I have a Hyperion DS-20 UMD servo in mine. It says it has 325 oz of torque but it does get stopped every once in awhile. I have had good tumbles with it and broke my servo plate but not the servo actually  I woudn't recomend it for everyone but for me it works just fine for $45 "thumbsup"

hold out for a good servo. 1256 is a good servo but steers like shit in the rocks. the only 2 servos i would recomend are the high tec 7950 or the jr9100t. the servo is definetly not a place to go cheap. if you buy one of the 2 mentioned above you will not have to worry about it for a long long time. the jr is 360oz at 6v. the high tec is 480oz at 7.2v. again save your coins and get something thats worth a shit.

the 1268 from savox if the ticket for me, the transit time is insane and has 360 at 7.4v. enough to get things unjammed, but not enough to worry about shedding steering components. the steel gears in it are wickedly stout, i've put it through hell and back and it just keeps going. got mine on here from a friend for 75 shipped with a bec....not bad for a really good servo.

the 1256 is between $80-90. if theres no weight in the front it still doesnt turn when you want it to. the jr9100t is $130-140 and steers when and where you want it to. it also has titanium gears. the high tec 7950 is $140-150 and is an absolute beast not sure if the gears are steel or titanium. if the front end is bound up it will move the rear end instead. dont go cheap when it comes to a servo. save up and buy one thats going to last. ive seen a ton of the savox servos strip out, never had any issues with either the high tec or the jr. not me or any of the 20 people i crawl with. all savox gives you is a high torque servo for a decent price. they dont even come close to the supperior quality of high tec or jr.

A Savox 251mg or a Hobbico cs170 would work great. The Savox is under 50, the cs is a little higher but good.

Try the Savox SA-1283SG.

I've run both and found the Savox stalls way before the HD.
Savox ran at 6V(416Oz.in) and HD at 7.4V (430 Oz.in).
And I mean way before!!!

The Savox is lower in height, fit a LCC nicely and looks macho.
The HD is quite tall and does not look macho.(Pink)
Also see this for specs.

As said, rather save for a decent servo.

Thank you guys for all you're input! Verry helpful. Probably Gonna end up getting a hi-tech with titanium gears ....... but during research I noticed some companies where referring to torque in kg insted of oz, how many kg in one oz?
