A lot of you guys are building some really impressive sport class crawlers these days but I know a lot of you guys also have an MOA crawler set up just as nice or nicer than your shafty. I currently own a berg but have been tempted to sell it to build a shafty. Just wondering your personal preference on what you have more fun driving and why? Thanks in advance

My 2.2s rig is a blast to drive, If I had to sell my 2.2pro berg or my 2.2s rig. (both rig are set up good.) I'd keep my berg hands down. Just start building a 2.2s rig and run both classes...

I prefer driving a shafty it forces you to actually drive and when I drive the same course setup for a pro rig it way more rewarding

I find sportsman more challenging.. You have to think more in advantage (hope i write it the right way and understandable).
you have to think already for the next gate before you go the the gates...

no need to say more "thumbsup"

The only way I can explain it is ,its like your car sportsman shafty for me is like driving an automatic car gas and steer and pro is a manual car with the dig being the clutch , I love driving my sporty ( well thats all I drive now) more time to react to the driving line and gates , pro moa was good but frustrated me with the dig and the difficulty of gates , don't get me wrong I loved both but my preference is for a shafty sportsman rig

Thanks for the reply's guys! Sounds like most of you guys prefer your shafty. What about day to day driving and practice? Still prefer your shafty?

My sportsman rigs easily get 10 to 1 drive time of my Berg. If I am going out by myself to play on the rocks, MOA rarely leaves the car. Granted, I have had my shafty for years, and Berg for a little over a year. I do feel so much more confident with the shafty...um...wait...you know what I mean!

I think the sportsman rigs make you a better driver (like mentioned above), you have to pay so much more attention to your line, tire placement, and throttle control. On top of the satisfaction of you pulling a MOA line with a shafty.

I wish there was a Pro-Shafty Class, I'd be all over that.

shafty hands down for me. more fun to tune it and simpler overall.
its limits force you do drive at your best.
