Canada, eh.
Go aluminum. The Traxxas big bore aluminum shock caps are a direct fit (Traxxas part #2667). Wrap the threads with teflon tape and screw on the shock caps. You'll have to use fuel tubing instead of the metal ball joint, but this is a quick, easy fix that will end your shock cap popping problems (at least it always has on any other shocks I've done this to!).

Maybe I'm just not running it hard enough...
I have not had any shock problems to date...
Still, nice find bro"thumbsup"

I think its overfilling as well.

I drive mine hard and articulate it often, I prefer huge articulation right now, though I gotta limit it now with the 4 link.

i had one pop off for the first time tonite, my shocks are not overfilled!!!
maybe it was the 3 foot drop and multiple rollovers!!!

the shocks limit the travel, so the caps are the first thing to go in wrecks or even when a tire is bound up in a hole...

teflon tape sounds like a good idea though..

How are you guys testing rebound? Are you pumping the shock vigorously for about 30 seconds before testing? These are emulsion shocks, just puching once or twice doesn't give full emulsion.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure this is what is happening to my shocks. I've pulled the front right cap like 10 times...I don't think I've actually ever blown the shock...I think it just binds up and rips the body out of the cap since it's already partially stripped.

me too

I had one pop on me tonight. Haven't even run it. But it was the same shock capt that wasn't fitting the o-ring right..kept squeezing it out the side. Honestly, I think the shocks are the weak spot in the AX-10..a substitute, upgrade or aftermarket needed!
