Sic's sporty...

Thanks Erik!!! I seen those unique knuckles b4 in your thread. I tried to get weight out far as possible with your brass knuckles im using now. Should be ok...what u think? I was gonna holla & see bout getting your delrin hubs since im running ofna outers & do away with hub spacers? With some other stuff too!
I may just run weight setup like this since my width up front is
10 3/4 now....& Got the weight out there more too.

Btw I got a box yesterday too from ya"thumbsup"...different thread tho:twisted:

I guess it depends on what width you want. I would get there and then figure out how to adjust the weights.

If youre running two 1/4" spacers and the stainless hub, you should be able to move to a 475 delrin hub and eliminate all that extra stuff.

We can both tell Troy he cant have anything. Its more fun that way.

See how your product works...I put it on wrong or another way & it still works"thumbsup" I will run it & see how it feels today. I told him you wasn't trying to hear it lol

You can also put the delrin behind the carbon like I said above. If you need to space them out wider to fit in the wheel, then you can add spacers between the carbon and the knuckle. It will space the whole thing out. Should be much easier to get correct that way.

Another quick test run today!

Never pulled that line before pro or sporty but the EVO with Dlux weight setup it happened 3 times today:shock:

Gonna add some CCC shock/link mounts which adds strength & helps keep the housing from separating!

Really clean & simple to install! New stance...

Found some SDI prop shafts I ordered for this build but forgot about em:roll: I was using axial hd in rear & traxxas or og axial up front....

Now the weight vs strength comparison between em fully assembled

A whoppin 1.7 grams more....wait incorrect I Forgot the pics is new uncut sdi shafts!

Now puts them at 50.1 grams which is 3.4 grams less with new shafts"thumbsup"
Used a bearing to shim pinion f&r

Got plenty of room for larger spur without a extended trans output. (Im runnin 56t spur)

The shafts do require a lil cutting to fit application. I will run it to see how the set screws holds up? I modded some pin type set screws so at diff & trans there is material passing through the holes not just holding like grub screws"thumbsup"

Looks like rain is gone so after work today its on8)

I used the pin type set screws and drilled it so the pin goes all the way through and have been running SDI shafts since last season and have beat on them pretty good with no issues! I really like the SDI's. Your sporty came out sweet!"thumbsup"

Yeah i went out & ran 3 packs thru it & no issues at all! Im glad to hear they hold up to daily runnin, really likin them too"thumbsup"

Ty for comments!

I've been running one in the rear, for a little while now.. the worst that has happened, so far..
1. Was the slide pin cover, unscrewed and I lost the pin.. so I finished the comp with a body pin, in it's place..
2. Was shearing the set screw off. Inside the output.. which I have seen a few times.
I now run a solid screw, in place of the set screw..

Other then them 2 small things. It's been over a year..

But I still won't take the MIP off the front.. lol..

I tried to put bolt in place of set screw but want pass through hole in outputs...did you mod to make fit?

Im using these just cut down a lil to get good threads!

Gettin close to ECC so a lil update...

Changed HH 500 to a 7950! No issues with HH servo just put it on another(4ws)rig to match the rear. I used cf pieces to hold servo down & hopefully no broke ears!

Got some blue G10 arms as seen above!

Started the weight setup...I had Dlux brass knuckles with slugs & now Im using 7075 centers(with slugs drilled) blue G10 arms & loaded dice weights!

Which got changed so that the weights are all the way out to wheel faces! You can see the weights are inside on last pics & now they are on the outside with clearance & proper wheelbase.

Oh yeah got another flavor of wheels too!

All for now but tommorrow a special surprise will arrive"thumbsup"...

With 1 week away from ECC the wait for HH motors is done. I pulled the trigger on a Team Brood stubby 5 slotHHK 16t with the works!!! Ok so yeah it was exspensive to say the least but so far its a motor;-) it will be tested tommorrow to see where it stands. The rig well it is now back down below 3lb14oz with motor swap. The HH TM pro 35t is still kickin (3 yrs now) it just lacks in what im used to on pro truck (13t pullers)!!! I can say it matches my paint scheme nicely"thumbsup"

Alot has been goin on since last post on this awesome EVO"thumbsup"

Ok SO ECC,ETRC,SCRCC & then NENC this year have been the best times since i got into crawling & I have learned alot!

No pics really but i did burn up a 7950 or maybe 2 & 1 stripped servo horn. I am now running the HH500 with no issues at all.

ECC-13th
ETRC-1ST:shock:
SCRCC-6th(I think?)
NENC-8th

Im really pleased with where i placed considering the drivers at these events & the couple lil mech failures"thumbsup" After attending these events its easy to say its more than just competing. The Drivers, event holders, environment & meeting new people is what its about!

I think one or two more local events then get ready again. A big shout out to all the vendors & people on RCC that make awesome parts & helped me get these rigs up & running!

We had another ETRC comp this past weekend & the evo did work! The truck is really feeling planted & predictable. With some of my best finishes the evo landed me a 1st place! Only changes from nenc were a lil more weight up front & went to 60w rear-50w front shock oil from 30-40. It really helped with sidehill & vertical climbs goin thicker in oil as well as slowing travel down a bit too"thumbsup" oh yeah im back to the HH500 after burnin up a 7950 at last event..everything else stays the same!!! The next stop is ETRC finale:ror:

UPDATE!!!

Im still running the hv500 with no issues there but the front diff was making a gear skippin sound when I had it bound up this weekend. ETRC #8 was a hot one but evo didnt care taking another 1st place finish:mrgreen: I havnt touched the truck since .........."thumbsup"
