Has anyone run a Sidewinder on 4s lipos? I would be running a BEC and 2 - 2s lipos in series. Looking to run it on a 55t motor. It is rated for 12 cells nimh but only says 3s lipo. I would think that the 55t motor would not draw to much to smoke it.

I have been running my Sidewinder with a CCBEC on a MaxAmps 1550mah 4cell in my rockracer, with a 27T motor and 35T motor, with no issues.

kamikaze told me it would be fine with 55t lathes and my mamba max.

i will find out this weekend, got a 4800mah Elite 4s sitting in the skid plate of my clod on standby:twisted:

Well I did it. Now I am ruined, no way I can go back to running a 2s setup"thumbsup" I set the BEC up at 6.4 volts and mounted the 2 packs on the axle/servo tray I made. Still has the low speed control of the 55t and the insane power of 4s. I am running 2 1450mah 25c hypieiorn packs which fit nicely over the axle.

I was able to make some lines that I was not able to make before. It may cause me to get lazy and just power though the harder stuff and I am sure I will start to snap some things that I never thought I would. But on the flip side it is pretty darn fun!
