I found that on my MRC that Simple Green worked better on the Losi blue compund than it did on the Proline G8.

I took wheels apart and soaked tires for 30 minutes rinsed off and reassembled them, did both sets same way. Im wondering on a 2.2 how it would do with the Rovers. Might make the blue's as soft or almost as soft as the whites. Wonder if that would give you the best of both worlds, long trad wear of the blues yet stickyness of whites? Hmmm......

Simple Green will soften the rubber in as little as an hour. With the wheels off the rig, spray liberally and let dry. Typically when they are dry you will notice a big difference.

One of the best tricks is to remove the tires from the wheels and wash in the washing machine with Tide powder for about 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes, put them in the dryer immediately for 5 minutes on high.

The Tide will chemically break down the rubber and the heat from the dryer will stop the process. The few I have shared this secret with in the past could verify that is works VERY well with most tires (Panther, Proline, Losi). I haven't tried it with others.

If you really want to soften the rubber get one of those sticky octopus, you know, the little rubber guys you splat against the wall and they crawl down the wall.

Wrap your tire with these for a few days.

Fishing bate worms work too [just not as well]..

I cant decide if the advantages of simple green on my chisels out weigh the smell of the damn things afterwards. They smell like the 300 pound kid in high school gym class.

What is Simple Green for us Canadian peeps? Cleaning product for what? toilets? floors? car wash? I can't find this product here in Canada but there has to be something just with a different name on the bottle.

Just let me know where you found it and what it says on bottle.

Thanks
