I have serched and have not found an anwser to this question anywhere. How big is to big for a skid plate? I modified a truck roll cage into a tube chassis. In order to cover all of the bottom tubing my skid plate would have to be 7 3/4" x 5 1/4". I know I will have to trim some out for the driveshaft's. How small should I make it? Should I horseshoe both ends so to still cover up the bottom rails?

That is super long. I'd be worried about it hanging up. The skid on my Axial is about 2 inch square, max. Can you modify the cage somehow? Pics might be helpful.

I dont realy want to modify the cage any. Any sugestions?
