For f$@%s sake...those things are stupid. At least on guys. They sag them to their knees and show off to the world the fact that they have chicken legs.

Trying to find a normal pair of black jeans is getting harder and harder. Between skinny jeans and all this BS they do to jeans nowadays... Putting holes/rips in the legs, doing that fading crap on the front, or bedazzling the pockets and sh!t. Enough is enough!

Phew, I feel a little better now.

i can put my own holes in pants, combine that with a bad night and i switched to canvas pants only. couldn't find a reasonably priced pair of jeans that didn't feel like i'd rip the crotch out of or tear the knee in days. so swapped over to carhartt and dickies canvas, good fit and worth the money. takes a couple years to break them in, once you do, like wearing pajama pants with a ton of pockets.

as far as the crap many jeans are put through or the crap they put on them, if i glued some rhinestones to my old pants, feels like i could sell them for 100 bucks. never could understand why you would buy new jeans that looked like they got in a fight with an abrasive planer.

not to mention the fact that strung out jeans tends to light on fire or get caught in machinery way too easy. was doing a walk around on a combine while running (have to do these things...this was after going through a bad rebuild) and a string got caught in a belt. thankfully the pants were pretty well junk anyway, so took one leg with it in seconds...i took the other of a couple minutes later. i don't know how many times i've lit a leg on fire, welding and the big grinder at home, once at school, few times on the job.

I have been wearing carharts for going on ...... Well pretty much seance they came out.
You nailed it with they take a long time to break them in. But man when you do they are comfy. Tip when you buy a new pair wash them 2-4 times rite off the batt. Also if you turn them inside out when you put them in the wash they do not fade. "thumbsup"

I wear a mixture of wranglers (denim) and dickies (canavs and denim), hold up great. I haven't had any new pairs of jeans for 2 or 3 years now i think, hell all my wranglers are starting to turn white on me...used to have couple pairs of carharts, insulated carhartts are awesome during the winter.

aye, i have a pair of insulateds in the drawer. i rarely wear them since they are jeans (jeans are bad memory for me.....see one whole leg turn from blue to brown from your own blood....), but i'll put them on under bibs if its really cold.

as of now, my favorites are my double knee carhartts, but they have about a year's break in still. next to those, un-insulated bibs. have a black pair from carhartt, tough as nails and very nice to have this time of year or when i know i'm going to be diving head-first in a pile of dust and parts. my dickies are getting very nicely worn, and at a cheaper price point, i can stand some extra damage comparatively.

i never had luck with wranglers, always blew the crotch out, cinch jeans on the other hand never failed me, but those cost an arm and a leg.

Ive always hated skinny jeans. I find it funny that fat chicks think it's OK to wear em...

They never look good on anyone, not even hot chicks. Not at all flattering to the shape of a body. I have seen some friends wear em that were very attractive before skinny jeans. That's a great way to look like hell instantly:roll:

Only issue i've seen there is ripping the ass seam if wearing a size too small...not an issue with me, but i've seen it happen.

I usually have to toss pants because of gigantic holes that got started by getting snagged on barbed wire...hasn't really been an issue though since i started college and not living on our small ranch anymore.

Sorry but I have to disagree. Maybe it's cause we are from a different generation. But why wouldn't you like pants that show a woman's curves? I would much rather a women wear skinny jeans then baggy man jeans.

On a girl they aren't skinny jeans...they are jeans. That's been that way since i was a kid in the 90's.

This new guys wearing girls pants...lets call it what it is. It's not skinny jeans, its girls pants.

ghtpdm5: I agree. Carhartts are awesome. and yes they anythin carhartt takes FOREVER to break in. Wash em a few times when you buy em it helps! Ive had my carhartt jacket for 4 or 5 years maybe 6 years. Not sure. But the jackets are awesome. So are the pants! Ive had a pair of double knees for a few years now. Carhartts and wranglers. Ive had 2 pairs of dickies work pants in less then a year. the brown pair. They don't stand up to the carhartts. they usally get holes where the belt loops are, then just get bigger and bigger as time goes on so i gotta throw em away. But carhartts are awesome! I only wear a few blue jeans that i like

Shit, I am wearing 511's right now, and some Vans like "sum dayum youngin' ."

Duluth Trading Co. "Ballroom" and fire hose pants. Not cheap though.

I stay away from Levi and Wrangler since they are no longer made in the USA. Only certain models of Carhartt are made in the USA and I'll buy those, but not the ones made in Mexico.

I prefer the carpenter jeans from All American Clothing. Super comfortable right out of the package.

If anyone knows TURTLE's jean size, let me know....I'm starting a fund to get him a pair of comfortable carpenter jeans.
