Sneed's Sloppy Seconds

Almost too much traction in some spots :ror:

The Boss Claws are working great. Running PL dual stage memories w/ regular foam slices for support. Great setup! Gets better w/ every pack. Rear's are still stock pink-ish foams.

Looking good! Wish I could get Boss Claws to hook up around area.

You gonna at Nationals by chance?

Yep "thumbsup" I got the chance to compete in the LCQ. I've just been driving consistent. I run the same setup week after week. I may change from time to time, but I normally just drive!

Did a little fabbing/wrenching. Made a Rcbro knock off LCG dig mount. This is made for the use of a micro servo, using a HS-85mg for now. Also made a electronics mount for the rear axle and a battery mount for the front. Instead of making a new servo/battery mount, I took the easy way and made one to attach to the OE mount. Axle plates are 1/8 delrin and servo mount is 3/16

Looking good!

One suggestion.. Get a RcBros steering link. Single best aftermarket piece I ever bought for the LCC. "thumbsup"

I've been looking at some options for new steering links. I may have something working. Plus I've got money into shinny Ti links. :ror:

A little more progress.....
I've de-anodized some parts, added spacers between the upper link mounts (Front & Rear) and working on a new BTA steering setup. Honestly I could use some help from you guys

Here you can see the new Tie-rod, similar to the XR10's, now I need to work on the Drag link

have you looked at Egressor's pics?
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=202409

his servo still faces forward on his knuckles but he has the wheel to wheel rod over the lower links. just seems better then maybe getting hung or stuck under the ander axle.

smooth looking rig though. ever have any problems with that mini servo like stalling or stutter stuck? are your dig springs stretched?

I did have problems after a while using the HS-85MG. This was when I had it mounted on top of the trans, it would only act up shifting into rear dig. The mount for the dig shift fork was stripped. Replaced it and added a grub screw to help. The servo works a lot better now. Plus while I was at Nationals, Jake hooked me up with a new sweet mount! Hoping they're going to produce them.

I haven't even touched the rig today...probably not tomorrow as well. I'm still working on the steering. Worst case, put it back like before. Thanks for the complements

I really like the deanodized look, looking good. I'm glad I got to meet you at nats this year, always fun to put names with faces.

Same goes to you. Thanks for all your input and advice. Feel free to drop off some new tips and improvements when you learn. Could use all the help. "thumbsup" Also, funny how we both are similar with work. Always nice to meet another grease monkey. "thumbsup"

Im hoping to have the steering done tomorrow. Not that it's going to help my driving, but still fun to improve things. Also after driving a few LCC's at Nationals, I plan to drop in a 13.5t!!!! I'm putting my Xcelorin back in, which I've shaved some weight off, and trying the HT rotor as well. Hoping all works well together

Well a few things have changed. I never proceeded any further with the steering. I did add 20* axle C's though "thumbsup". Along the list were new servos, Futaba S9156 and S9650, the new LCG CF servo mount and racers edge servo horn. Bling Lunsford Ti kingpins and red axial spacers. Added all the aluminum trans parts too. I took a step backwards and mounted the dig servo on top the trans. And put the shocks back into original place. I did all this to get a feel for it in stock-ish form. And I must stay it performs well. Shock arms in B & 3, front and rear. Upper links in middle, also spaced 3mm higher at axles. 40wt oil. Rig weighs 5.42lbs w/o body. Pics on the way
