So if dig is allowed.....

im not sure on the rules, but imho i think all 2.2 trucks should be shafies. if they want to use the 2.2 class to keep costs down, put the moa trucks in unlimited. i also think that they should allow dig or 4ws. im at an advantage as a basher that might get into comp crawling as i put 4ws on my truck, to compete i have to disable it, but then im still at a disadvantage because i dont have a dig. i know 4ws wont do what a dig does, but at least its better than nothing, and i find i can work the truck around quite well with it.

The more you fragment classes the less succesful the sport will be, look at open wheel racing.

remember dig and rsteer are made to make crawling easier not possible so with a dig and good setup rear steer sim to be a extra

things arent likely to change. if the 2.2 class was originally started as a budget class (correct me if im wrong, but ive read on this forum many times that the 2.2 class was supposed to be a budget oriented class and that it got blown out of proportion), they sure didnt right in enough rules to keep it that way. if they really sat down and thought, they would have figured that eventualy people would build 2.2 moa trucks and mechanical dig units. however, thats a dead issue now, we have what we have.

it just sucks that if i wanted to compete because i have rear steer i get tossed into the super class. all else aside, i think the 2.2 class should be dig or 4ws, it would just open it up a bit.

you can just shut rear steer down in comps ?
and i understand that part about no rear steer , another way to sep the two classes and many help supers ( some comp numbers are low )

Not really. You'd have to have a mechanical lock, otherwise if you depended on the servo to hold it, it could get knocked off center and you'd spend the rest of the course running cock-eyed. Or in a circle.

Since we're dividing up the 2.2 class even more, I'd like to see seperate classes for droop and sprung setups. :flipoff:

If you add rearsteer to the 2.2 class, then what distinguishes it from the superclass? The rule was made back in the day to help separate the 2 classes, and make it more of a stock/budget/drivers class. Now with all the advancement the sport has made in the last few years, it doesn't seem like that when you look at it now, since most 2.2's cost as much as a super, and are a LOT more capable than they used to be.
nathan i think you have straight "knocked it the F out"
once again your thinkin paves the long traveled road we call "CRAWLIN"
