Sean Garcia, Mr. EgyptSean Productions is putting together an event like no other! He has asked us if we could come and help raise money for St. Jude in remembrance of his daughter, Ashley Garcia, who was always into fundraisers for St Jude’s. Sean Garcia started having races each year known has The Ashley Cup. The Ashley Cup is a 5^th scale race held at Irvine Lake.

This is the flyer for the 5^th scale event. The Opportunity Drawings are for everyone that comes out. We will have our own awards for G6’rs.

Why - Because we're G6'n & you know it! There is no better way to help kids and play with toys.
Registration – 9:00 am
Stage Start – 10:00 immediately after the National Anthem
Where - Irvine Lake 4621 Santiago Canyon Rd Silverado, Ca 92676


G-Fee - $10 "thumbsup" (which is donated to St. Jude)
$10 fee Irvine lake fee
Entry fees on flyer do not apply to the G6


G6 Intel:
- Tow strap is mandatory
- Spare tire is not mandatory, but highly recommended
- 5 scale items are mandatory
- Water Proofing is not mandatory, but depends on driving ability!
- Winch not mandatory, but highly recommended
- GPS not mandatory, but highly recommended
- 150+ gates
- open to all rock crawlers



Notes: The trail will be open all day!!! Meaning you don’t have to start when everyone else starts.

RECON G6 Rules and Guidelines:

Rule #1 – NO HAND OF GOD. (HOG) A RECON G6 is all about driving. In keeping with the essence of the r/c scale scene a driver may not assist, stop, catch, or kick his/her vehicle. There are no penalties for winching or using your tow strap or for reverses, so DRIVE SMART! The penalty is a DQ for hogging your scale vehicle. Performing on course repairs or having to touch your vehicle for recovery purposes is not hogging. Picking your vehicle up out of water, mud, sand, or rolling it over onto its wheels with your hand is all examples of hogging your vehicle, thus resulting in a disqualification. If this happens, log the HOG incident in your drivers log book and report it to G-Central.

Rule #2 – A driver can not drive through a trail marker and reverse back through it to avoid trail obstacles. This will result in a DQ. A stage is directional and a driver must maintain the intended direction of travel. Reversing through the trail marker in the intended direction is ok and may be required during mandatory reverse skill sections.

Rule #3 – Mandatory skill sections are just that, MANDATORY! They will be located throughout a stage and will have an entrance and exit. There may or may not be a trail marker at a mandatory skill section. This does not mean you can bypass the section. Each class will have a mandatory skill section(s) and it will be marked with a class specific color boundary. A driver must drive their class mandatory skill section(s) only.


Rule #4 – HAVE FUN! The RECON G6 is the premier scale adventure event in the World. Each class has different parameters that must be met, but you are only cheating yourself out of one of the best experiences you will have with your r/c scaler by not driving with integrity and the willingness to perform each challenge in the spirit of scale r/c.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.

I just talked with Michael Cook from Negative 4 Productions ( the guy behind the International Go World GoPro Project).

I will be busy running the event and capturing footage for a video and i wanted a way to document what Egyptsean Productions goes thru on that day. Negative 4 Productions will be coming out to make a documentary video of the event and Egyptsean Productions. YOU will get an in depth look at the event and what went on, along with a look the process that we go thru to make videos from filming all the way thru the editing process. I am guessing that they will be talking with people at the event for the video but i am not sure. Anyway, Michael and i have been talking over the past year via facebook and email and i am proud to be a part of the GoPro Project and i am excited that he can make it out to the event.. check out the facebook page for the project and if you have a GoPro, sign up to be a part of something big!!!!

Just to kind of sum up what will be happening with the ashley cup race...........

......It was a 5th scale event and now we are adding scalers, The event will be covered by RC Driver mag, heli pilot mag, robotics mag, RC soup and rc insider.com. We have thousands of dollars worth of items to give away in the drawing and we will probably do a silent auction as well. The prizes range from 5th scale parts to gift ards and free hair color and haiuts at 2 different salons, and signed items from the monster world rally team...aka ...Ken Block. We have a powder puff race where women race for free any 1/8 or 1/10 scale vehicle. Some of Ashley's friends will be there to help run the event and we will have a massage therapist giving massages $5 for 5 minutes, my wife will be doing nails for $25 for a full set with nail art. We are expecting about 200people at the event including spectators. Coca-Cola is donating 60 cases of soda and 10 cases of water, monster energy is donating beverages and free monster swag. I will be making a video of the event as well as running the event. I postponed the idea of having Jamba Juice come out because i was not sure if we would meet their specs for coming out but now it looks like we will. If they do come out then for every jamb juice purchased 20% will go to St Judes. BRING OUT THE WIFE, GIRLFRIENDS, KIDS, PARENTS, BROTHER SISTERS AUNTS AND UNCLES.......THIS IS EVENT IS FOR EVERYONE AND THER WILL BE PLENTY TO SEE AND DO. YOU CAN WIN GREAT PRIZES AND WE RAISE MONEY FOR ST JUDES AT THE SAME TIME!
