Today I received an email from Natasha over at Team Chase. Team Chase is already a sponsor for the Ashley cup, but Natasha will be setting up a carnival type booth for the kids. The will have free popcorn, a couple of games for the kids and a drawing for kids toys every 30 minutes or every hour. Here is a pic of some of the kids toys for the drawing . we are not having a ultra class because this is not the typical g6. you can start when you want. There are things going on all day. we want people to come hang out and have a good time with family and friends and most of all help the cause. you can always race your buddy if you want to see who is faster.

Today we picked up 2 prizes for the Ashley Cup drawing from starbucks. these are whole coffee beans but if you do not have a way to grind them you can take them into any starbucks and they will do it for you. THANK YOU STARBUCKS

ASHLEY CUP SCHEDULE
First off i would like to say thank you to all of the event sponsors, to everyone who already preregistered, everyone who is coming out to help run the event and to all of those planning to attend the event to support a great cause! This event has grown into something ten times bigger then what i thought it would be and a could not do it without all of you!
We will have scalers at the event most of the day and there will be a course set up.....to run the course is $10. registered 5th scale drivers can run the course for free. We will have a couple of try me scalers available for spectators to try. There will be prizes for scalers running the course.
Gates will open at 7 am. we will be doing some track maintenance in the morning and installing the timing system. hopefully most of that will be done before 7 am. Practice will run from whenever we get done with maintenance until about 8:45 am.
Drivers meeting will be at 9 am and racing will start around 9:30 or 10 depending on exactly how many people sign up and we have to enter into the computer. 2 qualifiers at approx 10 minutes each ( maybe longer) and mains at 30 minutes each. qualifier and main times again depend on exactly how many racers we have on race day and are subject to change.The powder puff race will be 1 race which will be at the end of the 2nd round of qualifiers just before the lunch and drawing break. Trophies and powder puff race podium pics we handled at this time.
Jamba Juice will be on site selling smoothies from 11am to 1pm and again from 3 pm to 5 pm. Thru out the day we will be giving away prizes to registered drivers every hour by drawing names out of hat. lunch break will be as soon as we are done with qualifiers and powder puff race. We will have tables set up with items for a silent auction that will run until the the lunch brake. Other tables will have specific items with jars and you can place your tickets in a jar to try for a specific item. On top of that, we will will have the opportunity drawing. Tickets for the drawing will be $1 each or 6 for $5. Just an FYI...We still have prizes coming in from Phatdad, De Racing, Woodster lidz, Team Chase, Radio Post and Horizon Hobbies. Most of which will brought to the event so i will not be able to take pics and post.
After the lunch break we will start the mains and run until we are done. After all of the mains are completed we will take poduim pics and award all of the trophies.
This is going to be a great day of racing action with a ton of prizes to be given away for a great cause. 100% OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT WILL BE DONATED TO ST JUDES CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL IN ASHLEY'S NAME. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ALL OF YOU THERE!!
