Need a good "FREE" Spyware/Adaware program"thumbsup"I have tried a couple different ones and they are not getting it all i still have anoying pop ups and all that crap saying im infected download this now to remove BS:twisted:
for years I have been running Zone Alarm Pro security suite along side with System mechanic and since then I haven't had any spyware, adware, virus, trojans or other assorted computer problems. I never reboot, never need to. SM takes care of unloading unused dll's and reclaims memory at set intervals.
zone alarm security suite with firewall and antivirus catches everything. and with its training feature anything that windows tries to do you have to approve first.. Good feature, I like alot"thumbsup"
I use HIJACKTHIS, it's a registry editor so be very VERY careful but it's outstanding at removing junk that boots up with your PC. If you don't know what the file is that it finds just do a google search on the .exe

Yeah hijack this is good. We have also used Vundofix but it only targets certain kinds of things but has worked where others failed. The new AVG antispy is real good. It will always find stuff that adaware, defender, and spybot all miss. Tuneup Utilities 2007 is real good to control things at startup too. You might need to run some of the scans in safe mode to catch some of the infections before they start up.
