Like the title says, Does anybody make a stick radio that has a 3 position switch for the dig system on my LCC? Thanks in advance.

well almost all six channel stick radios have it. I have never seen one that doesn't. Just go for a six channel and not a 4 channel since a 4 channel wont have it.

Hey Skkeeter,

Not all 6 channels have 3-pos switches. The Futaba 6EX only has 2-pos switches. It can be modified for 3-pos.

The Futaba 10C has 2 x 3-pos switches onboard. A little more pricey, but can easily do what you need.

Cheers,
Mike.

For that matter just get the 4PK.... even if it doesn't have a specific 3 position switch it can be programmed to have one...

dx7 has one, look for any plane radio that has a 3 position flaps switch,.

I added one of those shifting gates like you might use with a Tamiya F350 three speed transmission to use one of the two sticks as a 3 position for my dig. Works well for me. "thumbsup"

I'm a newb so if you could elaborate on how that works, that would be great. Are you talking about one of these?

I currently have the stick Futaba 3GR-FS that unfortunately doesn't have the 3 position switch. How could I modify this radio so I don't have to buy a new one? Thanks again guys for your help.

You can mix the gear and rudder switches on the Spektrum radios to work as a 3 position switch. I use a DX-6 on my LCC this way.

Yes, that is exactly what I use.

Okay. I drive and steer my crawler with the right stick on my transmitter, so I always used the left stick (side to side) for rear steer. When I went to a dig, I removed the centering spring (gimbol inside the transmitter) that made the left stick return to the middle when you let go. With the spring gone and the left stick free to move and stay in any and all directions I added that shifting gate. Now, as my left stick is moved down to the bottom the dig is locked, in the middle slot on the gate the dig is open (free wheel) and at the top the rear drives (4X4).

It is a pretty simple way to use a dig and just about any stick tranmitter should work. "thumbsup"
