According to the axial website, both the dingo and the wraith have 38/13 bevel gears. However, I don't believe this to be the case. I can tell the scx-10 does not have the same gear ratio as my wraith. Anyone know what is actually in them?

yes, I just looked at my wraith it does have the 38/13. Still not sure on the scx-10. my wraith has a 27t and so does my scx-10 and the scx-10 seems way to fast, even though they have the same pinion/ spur. I guess I'll have to open up the axle.

It has to do with tire size, bigger tires will give you more speed, smaller tires less speed.

The wraith has 80/20 pinion/spur, the dingo has 87/14 gearing stock. The scx/wraith use the EXACT same ring & pinions. The wraith is heavier so even with smaller tires the scx might be close to the same speed as a stock wraith. Also the condition of the motors and the esc settings might not be the same which could cause a difference
