Hi guys!

First post here!

Been searching abit for the right answer but i cant find it so i try my question here instead.

Just bought Hyrax 1.9 Predator tyres that are supersoft. Have been using traxxas stock tyres with foam and kinda ruined my foam soaked in water and now they are much softer its almost like i dont have foam in them.
With the new tyres i only get stock foams open cell. Was planning to buy dual stage closed foams but they are out of stock everywhere.

Is it better to use the new stock foams? or maybe cut them.
Or using my ruined traxxas foams or not using any foam at all for these tyres?
this is for rock crawling btw for the best traction. My car is kinda heavy with extra weights on the rims and brass knuckles.
/ Thanks

I'd go with the stock foams.

No foams are way too soft, even if they are completely sealed.

Modding the foams might get you desirable results, but it depends on the weight of your rig. If it's too heavy, modding them could just make the wheels really saggy. I'd just go with the stock proline foams, they're decent foams.

The best way to go with a heavy rig is dual-stage, so the sidewalls don't completely collapse during sidehilling.

Be patient and get decent dual stage foams from CI or proline. World of difference [emoji106]

Alright thansk for your input! I might try starcut them also since i have weights on the rim ring the foams might be to much pressure. Ok so now i understand why i should have dualstage foam hehe make sence, i noticed last comp when sidehiilling my tyres kinda just glide downwards and it started to tip, and my lcp is really low.
