Such a thing as a 1/10 scale carrier bearing?

Heres my problem. On my current build(still in planning, not actually started) I need a carrier bearing of sorts. The wheel base is so long, no driveshafts will work with the scx10 tranny to reach the scx10 axles... So i need to run a third driveshaft, basically two shafts to the rear axle. If any one knows where i can buy one, let me know. I have a plan to kinda fab one, but it gonna be a pain...

After seeing some of rbgerrish's builds (dude is a genius), I have seen him use some longer shafts. Such as on this build:

Otherwise, if you're not running some big horsepower, I would suggest cutting up some Traxxas shafts using the cut shafts as connectors and some CA glue to make a longer shaft. I have used 2 male ends and cut the joint end off a female to use it as a coupling before on a longer wheelbase rig.

Another option is to cut and weld a section into a mip shaft (the male end) you should be able to find some round stock that is the same size.

Very true. Same principle as the Traxxas shafts but would hold some big hp. "thumbsup"

I guess it will depend on ride height and pinion angle to know if this strategy will work for ya.

I see them on rc semi's every once and a while, someone makes them.

X2. Just remembered seeing those as well.

How big of WB are you talking?

max usable length(quarter inch engagement)

This is what I have on the silverback. WB is a little over 14". I think its a revo shaft, not sure but I can get the part # if you think it might be long enough.

Creepin king, Yes, please get me the part number, You can PM me or put it here. Thank you!!!!!!!

Cheatin, thats what my plan was if I couldnt get a purpose built one.

Thanks for all the info guys!!!!

I'll dig around this afternoon after work and get it for ya. Also if you needed a little more length than that you could use the wraith outputs on it too. Probably pick up another half inch.

Those MIP shafts are a timesaver when it comes to long wheelbase rigs. I've needed them especially with offset punkins on Wraith axles...
