At the present moment the Super Bully axles tubes and knuckles are going to be modified at the shop to handle the steering angle of the XVD. This will take a little time for people to start to recieve the new improved units. The XVD has steering over 45 degrees.

Here are a few photos I took of an axle I modified so you could see what to do.

I used a Dremel with a 1/2 sanding disc. http://www.dremel.com/en-us/AttachmentsAndAccessories/Pages/AttachmentsDetail.aspx?pid=407

and a little high speed cutter. http://www.dremel.com/en-us/AttachmentsAndAccessories/Pages/AttachmentsDetail.aspx?pid=115

I start by working on the knuckle.

I probably cut a little more away that is needed, so you may want to start with the tubes first.

With the tubes, just cut away and test fit the XVD. If it hits the side, then cut away a little more. I got these perfect.

So here is a couple before and after shot of the knuckle and XVD installed.

So once this is all done. What do you get.

Left side is stock, right side has the above mod.

In this photo, the right side has more to go, but its in the link.

Nice write up. I have some tricks im working on the front of the 2.2 bully's that might also be able to make use of this.

"thumbsup"

This mod should work for the 2.2 axles as well. I will take a look and see what I can find.

I have no doubt the mod would work on a 2.2 since i hit the knuckle before the xvd maxes out but you will shove the tires into the shocks to the point of binding. I may have to send you some drawings.

EDIT: I saw the pic in your thread but how much usable steering did you get? How far into the shocks are you?
