I always seem to struggle when measuring suspension links accurately. I have tried a number of methods to get accurate repeatable dimensions, some work and some not so much. Back in June on Harleys YouTube channel, Josh did a video about tools in his toolbox.

In that video he pulled out a tool at about the 4.00 minute mark and simply described it as his custom made link measuring tool then said nothing more about it. I have been thinking about that tool and it made me wonder if anyone sells an actual link measuring tool. It can't be hard to make one. I envision a tool that is basically nothing more than a common caliper with parallel 3mm rods in place of the normal jaws. To measure a link you would simply slip the link ends over the pins and would be able to read the length accurately and repeatably. I have considered taking one of my cheap digital calipers and soldering a pair of 3mm pins on the jaws but I wanted to check first if anyone currently sells something like this.
BTW, for any company interested, this might be a good product idea. Just Sayin.
