I really like the look of the F9 Currie axles, but can't afford $500+ to add the Vanquish option to my SCX10iii that I just dropped $550 on. I know they are a hair bit wider (bonus "thumbsup"), but is there a moderately easy way to slide some Capra axles under my SCX10iii?

Want to take noisy 2 speed trans out as well, but that is a whole other topic....

Any help/input is greatly appreciated.

The Capra axles are essentially the same axles as the SCX10III axles. You wouldn't gain anything except additional width and you could do that with different wheels and offset hubs.

If you are looking to get rid of the 2 speed transmission then check out Bowhouse RC I am pretty sure they just released a new skid plate for the 10.3 so that you can mount the older style 3 gear transmission that came in the SCX10II. It is a bolt in option so no modifications from what I have seen.

I think it would be a pretty straight forward swap, and besides the width you would be able to run a servo on axle. But if you want soa and not so much width.. you could run the tgh capra wheels to suck the width in.

Have done this to my scxiii already. Made a braket for the vp capra axle bolts in with stock panhard and Servo in stock location. . The rear has the plastic rear capra axle remove small ballend and put revo on. But know they make riser for that capra axle so no need to change ballends..

End goal is to go AWS with Capra front axles. Was midlly hoping an older center skid plate would bolt in to covert over to 4 link.

Appreciate the responses. I will do some experimenting.
