Szczerba's SCX-EXO

Thanks Jen.

Twin Hammer spare tire carrier grafted onto a wraith chassis piece grafted to the exo cage

Not perfect but works

New upper link mounts for rear end. In highest hole. One lower and then the stock hole is still useful.
Quick steel mounts MIG'd to the SCX.
Backside of frame is boxed in.
Trans flipped and just clears spur cover.

Fixed it for you "thumbsup"

Love where this is going. I'm going to do the same to my rear links after doing the math on the geometry (as seen in doublej's thread in the general scale section)

I love that this is legitimately a kit bash build from at least 4 different vehicles. Most of my builds are kit bashed but I think so far maxed at maybe 3 different vehicles.

Looks sick

Thanks, deadline to be running on the rocks is this Thursday night. Want to run it the St. Louis G6 on this Saturday.

I haven't ever changed up the SCX geo, so we'll see how it goes. Definitley should help while climbing to get the front end to squat down.

Glad I have a hoard of 7 years of RC crawler scraps and bits in my garage. Parts used so far Wraith, Exo, SCX and Twin Hammers.

Man this thing is sick looking

Thanks. Still have work to do.

if you lowered yours down thats what I pictured

Gotcha. I am about as low as I can go now. It's in a semi-droop shock setup now. I would have to notch the chassis and rework the upper cage. That would require more work than just cutting and drill some more exo or wraith plastic bits.

Right now, I think the ride height is good for the rig I am invisioning. Ultra4 type racing buggy/crawler.

Nice job on the rear upper mounts. "thumbsup"

Thanks, just some scrap steel I had laying around. The inside of the frame channel is boxed in with a small piece of steel as well.

We need lsaer cut pre-fabbed link mounts for various custom builds. Get to it vendors! lol.

Edit. Here's a pic I snapped the other night. Forgot about it.

Check out what mattzilla is doing in the vendors tool section. 8)

I saw those and I am subscribed to that thread as well. I'll probably buy some up before too long.

I was thinking some bigger ones. For custom lower link mounts, upper boxed in shock mounts, etc.

I made these once upon a time..

Is that what you mean by boxed in? Those are made to fit an axle tube but, they could be flat bottomed.

Stainless steel. Kind of like a wraith link mount.

Looks good. ^

Adding some parts to the front axle.
