Tactic servo

Its not bad, but for a weighted rig I think I'd upgrade. For the right out of the box with some upgrades like moving the battery to the front, aluminum links, and so on its great. Once you move into weighting the wheels and so on. Id upgrade

I have no complaints with it. I put on the axial aluminum steering kit, and have had zero issues. My truck fell through some ice into about 8 inches of water, and it was fine. I wouldn't necessarily do that often though.

tactic TSX45?
not a problem yet.. went through some puddle with it partly (half) submerged.. and then when washing the rig.. it still performs nice

I might upgrade it to feetech if the wallet is full :lmao:

Thanks for the info and feedback guys. With all the other expensive electronics and upgrades that have been going into my g6 kit build I was looking for a budget friendly servo.

OK I just ran 3s on ae5 with the tactic through almost a foot of snow, many times. And it is still working perfectly fine

Just ordered one of their TSX55's for my newly delivered Wraith kit. Has a little bit more torque than the TSX45 and right at the same price if you're looking to buy one. I've got the TSX45 in my Dingo kit, bought it for another truck months ago not knowing they were in the Axial RtR's. Haven't run it much but so far its' been a good servo, nearly zero slop in the geartrain, it centers well and has enough torque for the mostly stock (for now) Dingo.

Saw that they also have a tsx65 for about half the price of a similar hitec. I've been happy with the quality on the stock servo.

I've been looking at the TSX65, good specs but it seems it's out of stock when I order from Tower. Plus I wanted to see how the cheaper $22 servos worked before dropping $60 on one.

I just ordered a solar d772 servo. I forgot I had one in my wraith until the motor failed so it made sense to try another in my scx10 since I have a extra set of gears. Hope it last longer than the first one I tried.

I've been searching for feedback on the Tactic TSX45 servo, that comes in some Axial vehicles, with no luck. I believe it is a little weak in my RR10 Bomber. I'm going to upgrade there. I'm thinking it would be a good servo for my SCX10 Trail Honcho. How do they hold up in an SCX10?

I have the tactic tsx45 in 2 scx10's. One with an xrmod one stock. I did strip the plastic idler gear on a pretty decent tumble down a rooted hole. I took the plastic idler out of a broken hpi servo I no longer use. Its been fine after that. I know the specs say all metal gears but the idler is plastic. I just picked up a spare tactic tsx45 just to keep me going if that one strips on the trail. They have decent power and affordable if its going on a budget minded truck like mine. BTW I run a bec too. Oh and I have submerged this servo a few times. Just packed the board with grease.

I have had great luck out of mine in my Deadbolt and have no intention of replacing it until it dies. It has been submerged many times (did seal teh case though) and beaten of the rocks and trails. Have metal steering links and slightly weighted tires. I do plan on replacing the plastic gear though before it breaks with a metal one.

Like others have said it's a decent servo. One thing to note is that it's not full metal gears. There is one plastic gear that engages the motor pinion and I can't for the life of me figure out why they would do this but you can get the metal gear for it on ebay pretty cheap. It's the same set as the TSX55 which is completely metal.
