Always been interested in a cc-01 after looking at some of the builds out there and what can be done with them.

What's next...a new Tamiya Jeep? :ror:

All these trucks out there without 1/10 representations and companies continue to rehash the same things. I don't quite understand it. This looks decent. Tamiya makes the best Lexan bodies.

Now, what about the price with Tamiya's new MAP policy? $250?

The molded in bumpers & decaled tail lights are disappointing.

The Defender license must be dirt cheap if not free.

Can't be too bad...

• Includes separately molded ABS plastic parts for grille, side mirrors, light cases and tire cover.
• Compatible with 5mm-diameter LEDs (White) x2 for headlights and 5mm-diameter LEDs x6 for the rear

per article...

Nice body but I'm still salty about the MAP thing so no sale.

I'm surprised Tamiya never jumped on the scale trail truck bandwagon. They've had ultra-detailed bodies since forever, and they responded to the crawler craze with the CR-01, but then the scale craze hits and they sit on their hands while Traxxas and everyone else blows past them. Instead we get new bodies on the same decades-old running gear and a massive price increase on everything. Fail.

They do their weird thing and that's cool.

I would be very surprised if they came out with something that could compete with recent scaler chassies.
