Tamiya Gold Looks Brown-ish?

I know that for whatever reason, there just aren't any polycarbonate paint in the tan / sand / beige / stone color. I also would prefer to stick to spray cans and not use airbrushes.

But I did see a video where someone used a Tamiya "metallic gold" color and it looked very much brown. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.

Thanks Mike I'll keep that in mind. I'm also going to try the Tamiya Champagne Gold then a Tamiya flat coat. I'm going for a two-tone look with a dark gun metal and what I'm hoping to be some semblance of brown / tan using the champagne gold.

This is how the PS-52 Champagne Gold looks. If you Google "Tamiya PS-52", you can find several other pics of the same color.

Thanks Willy I'm actually going for a gun metal and champagne gold two tone like you have so those pics are great! I plan to use this color combo on a Gmade GOM. I might go one further and do a flat coat on it.

Thank you CyberFox! Yea I think I made the right choice with the champagne gold. I really can't wait! My GOM should arrive today so I'll post up pics on how the paint combo looks!

Thanks again for the feedback guys. I am REALLY stoked on how my color scheme turned out ...
