Tamiya Wild dagger as a crawler

Anyone know of adjustable motor mounts for it? I have bearings 4" oil shocks, locked up and emaxx tiers. The axles and dog bones are not lasting to long. I guess its just weak metal. Any idea on how to fix this? Also, i got the esc good and low. Any others ideas please post up. I thought it was a good palce to start. Seamed like it would crawle good.

rc4wd might have some, also r2-c2.com makes some sweet (but expensive) dagger stuff, but they might be going out of business

thundertech clod reduction units might work, space might be an issue tho

the only problem i noticed w/ the dag is that there's no connection between the lower arms, they tend to flex at the gearcase and i think they'd break

that's why i guess i've never finished my 6x6 dag:

You know, I have seen alot people try to make a capable Dagger crawler. It can be done dont get me wrong, it will take alot of modifying. The truck really wasnt built for crawling but the skies the limit with anything as long as you have the creativity and the resources. There are alot of parts out for the truck but the truck seems to be getting phased out with most companies.

I think you are right. Having a real hard time finding parts. Was going to get rcguy chassis, but i got back into it to late. thanks guys any other places let me know mike

As far as dogbones, you can do a suspension conversion. I put Nitro Rs4 MT parts on mine and use the 86mm bones, they don't break nearly as often and the conversion added alot of width +travel and the arms are alot stronger. Mine is a basher and I have only broke 2 bones since the upgrade so you shouldn't have any problem with breakage on a crawler. As far as gearing you might be able to use a set of clod adjustable motor mounts. You can check out all my mods here http://tinyurl.com/8csld

Who makes a chassis for the dagger? was going to but thr rcguy one. Cant find it tho. Anyone, have one they want to sell plmk Going to see if i can the dagger can handle what i did to it and see how it goes.
