Team3Six Winch line test.

k, thanks. Is it pretty slick?

Chris

It has s coating on its. Its not fishing line! Pretty durable and I would suggest it if your competing. Not that the steel line doesn't work as well. But generally the steel line us for backyard drivers. I have seen some guys using it in comps. Much mote flex than the stuff I have seen on the market.

The reason I'm asking is I'm planning to use it to winch up my suspension to lower my cog during off cambers, then release it when needing more ground clearance...so I'm not sure how I'll guide it through the chassis yet, but I'm open to suggestions on something light that it would slide well through.

Chris

So you want to use it as a winch line and to winch down your axles. Perfect.
Now what I suggest.

Personally the 3racing winches as cool as they are just dont have the strength past a 7lb truck. If your lucky!

Either you can buy one of the ultra cool winches out there or if you dont have the duckets
What most guys do who don't want to fork out a ton of money for a Quicksand winch

or a
C.L.A.W winch
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/scal...-v2-winch~-video-tutorial-replacing-line.html

is buy a 5645MG servo and add one of my War Pig spools with a HeyOK controller and my Winch line and a Mad4Rnr hook. Follow this how too.

and then place your servo winch in an area of the truck that you want it to be, add a brass tube guide to guide the line to the fairlead and your golden.
Kinda like this.

Very cool...that's exactly what I was thinking. I was, however considering running this wheel on it, because I'm going to be sending line both forward and back at the same time...think it would be good for your winch line? Hitec Pulley 56314 I have that exact servo on my SC10...soon to be on my crawler...lol.

Chris

I appreciate your suggestions...don't take it the wrong way. I just need a dual spool, so I was interested to know if you think that spool will work with your line considering it's width of each side?
