I wont make this event either due lack of rig. But hopefully I will be starting one in oct.

Offcamber - where i austin do you live? i use to live in south part, but now live in san marcos

Hey Willey,
I like your sticker idea. What if you printed the image on some cheap sticker paper and covered the paper with a clear adhesive film, kind like that self sticking laminate stuff. That would give it a glossy look and make it more durable wouldn't it? If you print some out on the sticker paper, bring them with you and I'll see if I can come up with the adhesive film, I might have some somewhere.

Cool Texrok, I printed about 20 of em last night. They are the same size as an avatar. Any bigger and they get fuzzy. Might try to make em better, and print a few more. Bring your adhesive film if you can find it!!

Sup guys! :D Did some scouting at GV lake today. I spent a few hours and checked out all the spots at Murrel Park and Twin Coves and found our place!

Here's directions:

From 121 exit 2499
-Follow 2499 for about 10minutes
-Take a left at Flowermound Rd (big intersection - stay in lefthand lane)
-Take the first left at Mckammy Creek and follow it till it dead ends
-Take a left on Stimmons(or Simmons whichever it is) at the dead end

-Take a right at the sign for Murrel Park
-follow the winding road and go past all the fishing holes
-take your first left after fishing hole #7
-take a left at the dirt road (it makes a U-turn)
-follow the dirt road to the end and that's it

Torquer, you'll remember this place. This area is just next to the place we went to our second day crawling.

This place is HUGE!!! Plenty of room to have several long courses run. It has all types of terrain as well such as Moab style slick rock, rock gardens, steep descents, waterfalls, and everything in between. Should be good for all rigs involved.

It runs along the shoreline and is about 50yards from the parking area.

Bring some good shoes or boots to wear. NO SANDALS!!!!

The weather forecast calls for scattered thunderstorms on Saturday so we'll have to cross our fingers. A high of 74 and a low of 54 degrees.

The comp should take about 2hrs to complete so plan to stay till 12noon. Remeber we still gotta setup the courses, make introductions, go over rules and what not. There will be a practice session before the comp starts so ppl can warm up. Once the comp is over we can have several fun runs for anyone interested and able to stay and hang out.

Don't forget some bug spray either!

Get ready crawlheads! This place is rough! Check those lockers, cut them tires, and tighten your screws......This is gonna hurt!!!!!

Gonna be leaving probably around 3 or 4 in the afternoon on Friday. Pretty much have a really good idea with Cmans directions on where to go. that will put me up there around midnight, so I will just catch up with you guys in the morning. I would like to get there well before 9. If one of you guys could pm me with a cell phone number so I can reach you in case for some odd reason I cant find it, it would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I dont have a cell, so......... I'll just find a payphone.

Hey ya'll, Can't get onto CT anymore from work, and I don't get on-line from home much, so looks like I will be over here until they block this one down.

ANyway, not sure what all I will have ready, but I am still planning on coming. May just bring my bling bling crawler that was all chromed out, and the front unlocked, but I will be there. May bring the E-Maxx as well. It doesn't have much speed for some reason, but it seems to have a good low speed to it, so we'll see.

See ya'll Saturday.

Why can't you bring the....un-blingy one? I wouldn't want to see that chrome one all scuffed up!

Oh, I'll be in a dark green jeep cherokee Saturday.

Gimme a call if you have trouble finding the place.

Well, I only have one crawler, and my E-Maxx, as well as a bunch of other RC's, I think I my buddy counted 12 the other day 8O

ANyway, there are going to be steering issues, and servo mounting issues that I don't really have time to resolve. I am really coming out to see what all ya'll have, get some ideas, and see what I can figure out.

BTW, I am leaning more toward the aluminum links instead of carbon fiber arrows. The cheapest arrow I can find is $30 for 1/2 dozen. I have found a place that has 1/4" x .065 wall aluminum tubing that I am thinking about ordering from. This should allow me to be able to tap the existing hole and not have to drill. OR run a piece of all thread all the way down.

If anyone is looking for links, let me know and I will make a large order and just have it shipped to my place all at once. Save on shipping. I can get 3' and 4' pieces. If I go 6' pieces is cost a lot more to ship, that is why I am not using McMaster Carr's.

Let me know. May just crawl my E-Maxx :? , but I will be bringing both.
