TF2 RTR or kit?

Love the enthusiasm. FYI, even though these trucks are marketed as 1/10th scale, most (including the TF2) fall somewhere between 1/8 and 1/9. That makes a 4" tire more like a 34-36" 1:1 tire, which is right where you want to be. "thumbsup"

Even better, thanks for the info :)

on a side note, looks like I wasn't searching right because Great hobbies also stock the TF2 kit for $470 PN RCFZK0042.

Makes it even easier to find now "thumbsup" and it's quite a bit cheaper than I anticipated to pay for it, more money for other stuff:mrgreen:

Nice, I'm getting awesome responses and I love it.

Talking about hobby alley, I just got an e-mail from Wayne and he told me they do stock the TF2 kit in case any Canadian is looking for one.
They are out of stock until at least 3rd week of Jan though, which isn't a problem for me.

I wasn't really planning on anything bigger than 4.1 as you said cause they do make the truck look a lot more like a monster truck than anything else.

I was at one point driving an 85 4runner which I might try to re-model(trying to do a unibody mojave maybe?) and 37s would be as tall as I would've gone. Seeing how small they look on the stock truck I'd go for a 4.1" most likely, meaning around 42" tire in 1:1 but no bigger. I love the input from you guys with my questions. This community is so awesome, loved it the minute I found it with all the help you guys provide and everything that is already on this forum is insane!!

Yup the hilux/Mojave body is almost exactly 1:9 scale. I have the 1.9 MT Baja claws 4.19 and at 1:9 scale they scale out at almost 38". 1.9s are about 17" rims which I don't think is too bad...
4.2" would be about the biggest size I'd put under a TF2...

Where are you in On? Try hotrod hobbies. I know they carry RC4WD, Vanquish and a bunch others. They usually have good prices. They had the Power wagon at 360- I think, everywhere else it was right around 400. I know they sell Proline stuff cheaper as well.

I'm in Belleville, I'll have to look for hotrod hobbies for sure, thanks for the info.

Edit: Sent them an e-mail, waiting on an answer.
