I want to share wit you what most of you must allready have seen. It's not a build per se beacuse many parts came allready assembled and doesn´t have much to "build", it is more of an assembly with some personal touchs.
As the title says, I´ve bought a TFL Racing Bronco. Its an all metal thingy minus the body and interior that are plastic. It has a lot of inspiration from the Axial SCX10 but with a motor up front, a transfer case and a tube chassis with some sort of rigid Ford Bronco inspired body.
On to the pics.
The box is very average. It's a black box with some stickers on it with some drawings and letters and numbers. A 5/10 box.
This was inside the box:
Looks like some kind of round headlight thingys...
Some wierd upside down map of the world...
Tires...
Oh look! A chassis with a hard body! Neat!
All metal parts seem to be machined. Here, the transmission and transfer case.
The steering arms (It was really cold, hence the gloves.)
The steering link. Later I found out that it was too long...
Now, the axles. They look really good. The machining work is very nice and quality is very nice, like, premium chinese quality!
Yup! VCD´s right there!
Links and skid plate.
Here, some kind of tow hitch... It doesn´t make sence to me... What would I want to tow when rock crawling?!
Aluminium shocks, drive shafts and seats for the interior.
A box, named "Bag E"
Wont bother you with pictures of the crew tightening. Fast forward and here you can see that the spur is veeeery close to the frame!!
Like I mentioned before, the steering link was too long and the wheels were too "open"...
Test fiting some accessories!
I never liked lifted vehicles whre you could camp in the wheel arches and this one seemed a bit to high.
He almost needs a step lader to get inside!!!
This would be better!
So I started fiddling with the shocks.
But... *sad trombone sounds*
It would look so much better this way!!
New handmade steering link!
Hey! There is no leg room!!!
Not anymore! (This was later covered with a 3D printed part!)
Gear sticks with some detailing, Tamiya paints and shrink wrap!
"Botanic" green is the color I'm going for.
"Destroing" a winch...
That grill... I don't like it... Needs holes...
Not that big!!! Geeez!
That´s better!!
Room for the winch and painting the grill white without masking! Ideas that I have while at work!
The chassis is going to be white! I hope...
And that's it! It's a going process!
