So I saw this in Crawl magazine about a year ago and have been wanting to build it for a while and just now started.


I found a link to some pics of it on Pirate 4x4, apparently it is now up for sale for someone with deep pockets:

Here's a list of what I'm planning on using:

Axles- Axial
Transmission - RC4WD R2 dual dig
ESC - CC sidwinder
Wheels/Tires - Axial beadlock (for now) / Proline Super Swampers TSL SX

Welded up some of the main tubes of the upper cage and trimmed the HPI Rubicon body to match the 1:1

Awesome start, one of my favorite rigs as well.

Specs on the thing in the background?

That's a side project I was working on it's a topkick body that I cut up. I'm planning on doing a rolloff tow truck with it. Semi rims, T-rex mini 44 and axial transmission that's about all I got right now.
