The Yellow Lux now w/ Rouge Elements Drop bed

Looking good Mike! How you been?

How do you like the tires? I have a set that I'm hesitating on running due to some things I read about them having poor traction.

Hey Dean,
I am good dude, new job (career actually "thumbsup"). I must say I love these tires. They are probably the best looking 1.5s out there and they do work very well...They are not like other older RC4WD tires...you can actually see the wear on these already  I am running them on my commanche as well and I am very pleased with them.

Drop bed from rogue elements showed up for this rig and I also bought a set of Ultimate Yota axles for it  so much for keeping it simple :ror: I just like this rig that much.

Here is another update. Got in a Drop Bed kit from Rogue Elements and hacked apart the bed this weekend. The end result is AWESOME! I will NEVER build my own drop bed again. This kit makes it so easy and the finish is awesome. Even with having to modify the kit to work with my drop bed it was still painless.

Onto the pictures

Sorry I didnt get any build pics but my time is extremely limited until I graduate from the academy, plus assembly was really straight forward. The most time consuming part of the whole thing is shape the rear fender wells to fit. I used a dremel and then some course sand paper and finished the finish with some smoother stuff in the end. I then sprayed it with a textured paint and flat black to give it a bed liner look. Last I comp cut the bed and plan to make a rear bumper for it when I have some free time.

Thanks for looking
-Mike

Damn good looking
Rig I always thought that rogue kit would look awesome with some dents and damage to the wheel wells and bed floor give it that 20 year old yota bed look

shocks, springs, axles, and shackles?

You are good, new RC4WD shocks, newly added longer and flexier RC4WD rear leafs which meant I needed to move the shackle hanger back like they do on real Yotas to get the proper shackle angle. And the obvious, Ultimate Yota axles

this rig looks sweet i cant wait to build my hilux... where did you get the pepsi cans??

From ebay, they are from a doll house
