I caught something... a virus, a bug, a NEED

I tried to satisfy it.

To fill the cravings I got this wee little runt. I found it while looking at toys with my son. We justified it as a toy for him. I knew better...

It failed to fill the void

One day I saw this and had to have it! Justification: Honey, its a Christmas present for the boy!

Well, the boy grew tired of dad hogging the MRC. He said he would sacrifice and "keep" the mini rock crawler so I could get a "daddy sized rock crawler".
Naturally, it didn't take much arm twisting from my little enabler and after a thorough perusal of the For Sale section the new drug found its way on home

Of course this is my main drug of choice... it couldn't quite fit into the picture frame

Here's the whole family. "thumbsup"

I love it here but I'm pretty sure my wife hates you all :flipoff: :D

Addiction

Just like any other person with a addiction " You don't have a problem, the people around you are the ones with the problem ". If we needed help we would know. You better have my money! Thats what your local RC Store/ Pimp tells you.:-P

It's so easy to get addicted to Rock.
My wife knows I am a junky, she justifies it for me by saying, "At least you're not spending the money at the titty bar!" Damn she's cool.

I also agree that getting a crawler for her will help. And if it's not her thing, oh well, you just got away with buying yourself another crawler. And blaming it on the kid will work also, but only for a little while.

Welcome to the madness. Good luck.

I completely understand......I have a buggy on 42s that just sits since I got into the RC thing.......it is completely addicting.

Its not that the JK sits, its just that pretty much any trail that it run-able in the northeast is three plus hours away. That make wheeling 1:1 an occasional thing at best.

We did get to go full size wheeling this last Sunday (was awesome) but when a rig broke a driveshaft on the trail in front of us and we were stopped for 45 minutes while they got themselves out of there, having the MRC on board was a LOT of fun. I wish I had brought the AX10 as well. Oh well, next time.

Wheeling = gewd!

Very cool. I am from near Rochester, NY so I remember how far it was. Most of our decent stuff here in the NC area is about 4 hours away.

Glad you had it with you, breakage is a pain.

I know how it is... I remember buying a T-Maxx when they first came out thinking I could gear it low enough to crawl.. did not work... shelved it. Then I found those nylint crawlers at wally world. Got a few of those and heavily modded them. Still not satisfied... Now I own a MRCx2, SCX10, CC-01, LCC and a brushless Slash and my want list grows faster than my income will allow. I have had some friends and family tell me that they think I have a problem but I think its them that have the problem. They do not freaking crawl! Thats the problem!

I remember a few months ago I was telling a friend of mine.. "I have not bought anything at a hobby store for 17 days." like it was some big accomplishment!!!

hello!
my name is josh ive been an rc addict since '92-
ive relapsed 3 times-this is my forth time in!

!!!!WELCOME!!!!

hello, i am only an hour and a half from you, so i can understand what you are talking about no wheeling local... nothing that is worth spending a whole day on anyways.

i have to go up north to the summer home to go play. "thumbsup"
welcome to the new addiction.

Whatever you do, do not go to the short course forum. Otherwise you will only add to your addiction.

what hancooks are those? i really like them and the jeep needs some new ATs

Custom grooved 315/75R16 DynaPro MT's. I found that they brought the suck on smooth rock face and this was my attempt to add to their smooth rock gription (is that a word? ;-)). So far its worked out well and improved performance but they're still no TSL, IROK, or Rocker. I'm going to be replacing them with 38.5x13.50R16 Pitbull Mad Dogs "thumbsup" Can't wait! 8)

Are those the new bobby birfs I see in that heep?
Bobby Long doesn't make them for the JK anymore. I'm not sure what the deal is/was but they are now made by RCV Performance.

I'm slowly building up that front axle assembly. Its got ram assist, RCV performance shafts, and Riddler dif covers. Tie rod, track bar, and drag link are all Poly Performance. I'll be adding axle tube sleeves, C braces, new ball joints, and a truss this winter. Hopefully I'll stumble upon a Leprechaun and his pot 'o gold so I can afford to regear. A set of 5.38's would mate up with the 38.5 Mad Dogs real nicely. 8)

Where's a damn Leprechaun when you need him! :-P
