TINY Built/Building A Slash. RPM Heavy.

I started with a box stock, brushed 2WD Slash. Then I started ordering...lol, RPM this and RPM that. Before I knew it, 98% of the thing was RPM parts. I'm going to replace the stock tires and wheels with, you guessed it, RPM wheels. Not sure which tires yet. I also upgraded to a brushless system, locker in the trans, and metal shafts to handle the brushless. The brushless laughed at the plastic ones. I switched out the stock shocks for some beefier aluminum shocks. The stock servo was replaced by a 35kg. The aluminum Tie-bar is on the way. Soon, an aluminum bell crank. I removed most of the factory decals and replaced them with my own. Some of which are custom-made. Let me know what ya think...

If you're like me with my 2wd slash, it was just a matter of time before you had a full rpm truck anyway. Might as well buy it all and have the originals as spares.

Not sure where you get to run yours. Mine mostly see pavement out other fairly smooth, open spots, no racing. I found the lcg chassis to help greatly with preventing rollovers. Nice to not have to walk across the parking lot or down the street to put it back on its wheels so often.

Mine also sees a lot of pavement. It's never raced other than an E-Maxx. Smoked it...Ha Ha. I started on this truck in 2016-17 and built it up with "Mad Cash," as the boss calls it. And by the "Boss," I mean my wife...lol I just now 2 days ago, got the body mounts. It was a work in progress over the last 9 years, I guess. And I'm not done yet. I even thought about No-Prepping it at one time. Then I thought better of it. Thanks for the comment.

Can't really see much, but what you running on the pinion/spur side 48P or 32P gearing?

I realized after buying my first traxxas vehicles (2nd gen Stampede w/ 3.3 wheels, and 1st gen slash with the 2.2 wheels only) that buying the chassis, and transmission internals and RPM parts, was more cost effective than buying the RTR.

I did a murdered out rpm bandit that way, looked rad.

32P. I can't remember the counts right off. I do remember it's somewhere middle of the road—not the snappiest out of the hole, but not a total dog either.

looks good. I’m working on rebuilding one of our Slashes also. Like some other of my vehicles it’s been long overdue for a good cleaning.
