looking at getting a new motor for the Gladiator. looking at the Castle Creations Mamba X sensor combo.
question is what motor would you all go with the 2280kV or the 2850kV
would the 2850 be too much for the Gladiator? both are the same price but i just dont know as this would be my first big upgrade for a motor on any Crawler i have had in the past. so looking for some advise.

I'd recommend the higher kv. You can gear it lower to have the same top speed as the 2280, amd get more torque and better low speed control.

I’ve got a 2700 PullerPro Stubby in mine on 3s.

I ditched the castle for Holmes, runs great with my Mamba X

I also run the Holmes setup/curve

Geared to creep with plenty of wheelspeed

Hang up and Drive

I have a castle 2850 Slate in my 10.3 JLU. No issues at all plenty of wheel speed and torque, while still maintaining all kinds of slow speed control. Make sure to get a castle link to set the throttle curves though.
